HAHAHAH not as bad as the Prime Minister who is a liar and so dumb doesnt even know how to pronounce hyperbole, she has been lampooned for her ignorance, she pronounced it HYPER BOWL, and that moron had the temerity to accuse Pauline Hanson of not understanding a word, what goes around comes arount with liars
i just wanted to say that i am really sorry for whatever happened to you in your life to make you such a bitter and unkind person. To be willing to be so abusive about a fellow human, I really do feel sad for you and hope that you learn to develop more compassion. Best wishes, alex.
Anyone who claims they ‘do not believe in’ anthropogenic global warming do so because they are ignorant of the science. Because really, what they are doing is claiming they understand the science better than around 83 scientific bodies from around the world that concur that it is occurring. What strange arrogance. Plus as anyone who understands what science is knows, science isn't about belief anyway, it doesn't require a leap of faith. It's about being accepting the overwhelming evidence.
Poor Gemma - an intelligent girl who's been totally brainwashed. For the dummies: the Darfur conflict is an ongoing civil war started in 2003 when the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army and Justice and Equality Movement groups in Darfur took up arms, accusing the Sudanese government of oppressing non-Arab Sudanese in favor of Sudanese Arabs. CIVIL war, not climate change war. Question what you're told, or you'll look as silly as the 8000 you quote instead of the more accurage 1500 at the rally.
@Nannabelle53 there is evidence to suggest climate change inducing drought & other environmental issues are a factor in this complex conflict. You are right in your description but like Gemma you have captured some factors for the war, Gemma has captured others. What is your beef? Isn't your time better spent complaining to the British about increasing aid, trade reform and peace keeping support to make up for creating the artificial state of Sudan when they started decolonising Africa?
Awesome vid, keep up the good work guys. Great to see intelligent people who don't buy into quackery, who understand the complexity of our interconnected world and actually get off the couch and do something! I pity those who come of with lame excuses and justifications for not taking action.
POOR FOOLS, yes delusional. They dont even appear to understand that Australia ABSORBS more CArbon Dioxide than we emit. CARBON DIOXIDE is plant food imbecilies?
lol...Get Up is made up of the majority of women over 50 years of age.
Its a doctors wives club to allow them to feel they are doing something of value and relieving some of the guilt for the huge, obscene amounts of money their husbands make whilst people starve around the world.
How about travelling to 3rd world countries and teaching kids to read and write for free?
@arsjth because you would then put a local teacher out of a job in a developing country if you went over there to teach kids to read and write. You could also save the cost of an air fare and use the money to send a local person to complete a teaching course. What research do you have to back up your claim that Get Up is a doctors wives club?
your assumption is that they have plenty of teachers and that they get paid and that the parents can afford to send them to school. It probably comes from growing up in middle to upper class australia and thinking the whole world is like australia.
Simon Maclean of Get Up on the ABC yesterday morning said the majority of Get Up members were women over 50...who do you think they are? Process workers?
@arsjth ok thanks for clarifying your source, it doesn't mean however that they are all middle and upper class. There are a variety of people involved with Get Up! Yes it's internet based civil society mobilising organisation, but if you looked at their campaigns you would see they are fighting for a progressive Australia for all. If they are doing good work why knock them?
@arsjth Generalising is a dangerous thing, you don't know me. If you did you would know I have 5 years experience working in the aid and development, and spent last year working in communities in KwaZulu-Natal South Africa. It's not an assumption, many people volunteering as teachers if done incorrectly can put local people out of a job. Instead of wasting money on flights and outsiders who don't understand culture, language trying to teach, money to train local people is far better.
The civil war in Sudan that has been going for more than 8 years is over climate change? Wow. Just.... wow...
I would suggest the AYCC learn to use Google before making such statements. Or any of the worlds major news websites. Or Wikipedia at the very least.

Well done Gemma. It is great to have a passion. So many people do not stand up to be counted for what they believe in!
