hotbox was one my favorite albums back in 1980 while stationed at fort hood texas. the album featured 3 of the best dance songs of 1980 all on side one of the album, gotta get my hands on some, backstrokin and lovespell. fatback was always a underrated and unpredictable band compared to most bands in the 70s and 80s. fatback had a variety of sounds to their music which included disco, funk, r&b and even rap. when they released the first rap song called king tim back in 79.
