  • I have the same computer with a cd rom drive

  • i miss my 6100/60AV

  • Nice cough at 4:40

  • @ltkenbo Wait until you hear my sneeze in my video entitled "Oscar! ^-^" You've heard nothing, yet =P

  • Does anyone here have a list of games for the powermac 6100

im trying to fund a game it was a platform game and the character was kinda like a bubble or ball

and i think adventure was in the title of the game

  • @diajassy I don't believe that there currently is a list of games for the PowerMac 6100. However, I do know where you can find almost any Mac game written from the days of System 1.0 to the days of Mac OS 9.2.2.

  • @DarkBallYE okhay could you tell me the name of the site

does the vague description give you any ideas for the game

    just asking

  • @diajassy I don't know what game you're talking about, sadly. I didn't play my first shooter until 1998 =\ You may be able to find it on the site, tho :)

Google for "Macintosh Garden" and you'll be able to find the site (YouTube won't let me post links)

  • @DarkBallYE could u tell me where i can find that list?

  • What Version Of Mac OS Do u Have?

  • @DekaSwan86326 OS 7.5.5 :) Any way I can get 9.1 on there without a CD? Or will I have to get a CD drive for it?

  • Since you happen to be a mac guru maybe you can help me out. can you or anyone tell of a game..it's hard to describe having it played once. The game (if memory serves me) was a shooter with vector graphics and the first stage was circular which reminded me of gyruss and tempest...after you won the stage you would go to the planest surface, the view would change and you would shoot more baddies (I think). I was only 12 when I played the game and I'm 27 now. I remember it being on a demo disc.

  • make it crash because it has the funny "car crash" crash sound. Just hold down control - Apple - Power. dash and period not included in the combo.

  • LOL! I put the machine away last year, tho. I might do that at some point :)

  • About the game "Souls System" you play here, I have an identical looking game, except it's called "Shadow Wraith", guess it got renamed from the demo. Really played that alot 15 years ago :)

  • I do believe Shadow Wraith is the Sequel. Either way, they're both super addicting :)

  • Man I think I might just pull my Quadra 650 out of storage. (it's been sitting for like 9 years now)

  • How do you adjust the display size? There are no controls on mine at all, plus the stupid thing is rotated to the right! Agh!

  • BTW, I noticed there were pots on the back for vertical and horizontal shift as well as trap but no resize or geometry pots :( Does the applevision software in OS9 do what I want it to?

  • I grew up on an old shitty Performa 6300... I later had two 7600 and a 8500... Those were nice machines, in fact they are still sitting around the house.

  • Ahh this is the computer I grew up with as well. Many fond memories of the ol' 6100/60.

  • does it have a web browser, can you use the web ?

  • hey nice macintosh i have the 6100 series to except mine came with a cd rom drive and a floppy

  • my 6200cd has the same sreensaver!!!

  • I have a 6100/60 with maxed out RAM and a 1.2 GB hard drive. Also I have a bunch of external SCSI devices. Nice system for playing games, but no ethernet is a real bummer.

  • I miss my 6100. Thanks for this.

  • what kind of a display is that?

  • The kind is Apple AudioVision. However, I don't know what kind of port it is. All I know is that it contains 1 ADB port, 1 S-Video port, audio out, and audio in, all on the sides. I also know that it doesn't connect via DB-15 video port, and has built in speakers.

  • The port is known as HDI-45 made specially for this AudioVision display.

  • I ve a question: Can I also use a regular display on a powermacintosh 6100/66 and not an AppleDisplay???? Can someone help me?? PLEASE ANSWER!

  • I have solved the problem.

  • whagt system is that? mac os 8.1, 8.5, or 8.6?or 9 or 9.1?

  • It's Macintosh System 7.5.5. Since I don't know how to work a SCSI CD drive, I'm SOL trying to upgrade this thing.

  • I remember running wing commander3 on the powermac 6100.

  • hey, DarkBallYE

i have a macintosh performa 6200 that i found it is a sweet system from 1995

  • MMmm... 6100.... I lost my Medusa cable for my 6100/dos machine :( Runs good OC'ed at 80Mhz. Keep that mac alive!

  • is mac os 7, 8 or 9?

  • KEWL !!!!!!!!

  • this computer is da best!!!!

  • I just found out the booting problem wasn't about hardware. It seems that it's because both of its original hard drives had a system on it. But when I deteached one of its hard disks to examine it, it probably reset the startup disk procudure. So it's probably going in a loop choosing what to boot from.

  • Thats my first macintosh, the Powermac 6100/66,im still continuing to upgrade the machine, its one amazing machine for its specs.

  • I LOVE those little Trinitrons, they have incredible image quality.... they may be 13" but they still eat any modern LCD for breakfast.

  • That's odd that it won't boot when the monitor is on top.

  • oh my, you have a lot of shareware games on it. the only games I have on my 6100 are Quake 1, Marathon Trilogy, Prince of Persia 2, Full Throttle, Pro Pinball: The Web, and *cough* Photoshop 4.0. Hahahah! Kidding aside, I love this machine even today.
