Every horse this girl has had was handed to her. Junior was bought from Martha Josey and she is given fully finished pro horses. Brittany pozzi is nothing like mesa. AT ALL. Brittany sacrificed everything to run barrels and friggen walked her horses to jackpots & rodeos cause they didnt have a horse trailer. mesa rolls up in her 100,000 dollar rig. Not a fan of her at all.
Everyone who says that mesa is snotty, stuck up, or WHATEVER you say must not have met the REAL mesa leavitt. I know her personally. I have gone to many barrel races with her and she is NOT snotty one lil bit. She is nice to everyone she sees. Mesa has been through thick and thin. That is what makes her so successful, because her life is/was NOT easy.

She has some good horses, but OohSooSexy24 has a point. I went to All-American and me and a friend saw her stomping after her dad and Junior. I don't know her, so I can't say anything about her, but I think it's time for someone else to get to be at the top.

She's a very good rider but it doesn't hurt that her parents buy her expensive rodeo horses to compete on. Im not saying it to be mean or anything but i have more respect for people who win on horses they train.
yep so true! i am most of the time in the bottom slots in placing like 3rd and 4th but i have worked my but off on my horse and ride him everyday to make sure he is fit and sound he only cost $4000 and all the girls i compete against and beat me have went out and brought $70,000 horses . its crazyy.
Im just going to be completely honest with yall, I dont like this girl, she is way too cocky and she best watch out for little miss reagan lee. Im a barrel racer from iowa also and ive met her and she's is a very snotty girl. There are alot of people who look up to her as well as all of the other rodeo riders and you should respect that and not snob your fans. I also do rodeo queening and that is a perfect example of proper ettiquette toward fans.

Mesa is so cute. Shes a good rider with a good horse. barrel racing is these girls lives. if thats how you make a living then thats what you have to spend your money on to keep making that living. i think alot of jackpot racers dont get it because its just a hobby for us and we are just breaking a bit above even, not raking in thousands from one run. but as a local jackpot runner i know how rewarding it is to train your own horse. but unfortunately thats not how the big shows are won anymore.

I disagree, In some cases yes you have to know how to ride to make your horse perorm. However this isnt always the case. I run with a girl who is only 12 years old and she is WINNING U.R.A.'s against women who have been running there entire lives.. ya know why? because I know for a fact that her parents went and bought a $35,000 barrel horse. You expect me to belive she can ride better then adult women with decades of rodeo experience? sorry but i dont.

Maybe you should watch the wideo again. That little girl is riding her horse. She is kicking, whipping, and even lifting her leg out of the way of the barrel doesn't fall. She trusts her horse and lets him work. Would you feel better if she had to jerk him around the barrels? If winning was easy we would all be doing it!

You guys are funny! You must have no idea what the NFR girls pay and sell horses for. Their backup horses sell for that much. Yes, I agree it is a much greater accomplishment to train one yourself. Some people are better trainers and some are better jockies. Mesa has a great horse, all I am saying is you have to give her credit for being able to handle all that pressure everytime she enters the arena. From what I can see she rides nice and quiet, doesn't lean or pull on her horses face.
I didnt say anything about NFR barrelracers.. and all im saying is that when you have a made horse you dont have to lean or pull on your horses face, just sit there quiet and your horse does exactly what it was trained to do.
@jrdenapoli actually a free runner is one that you don't have to kick as much, kuzz they will run hard anyways. if you kick them they might not rate as much at the barrel and go past it. i blieve the term you are looking for is "finished"
kicking and wipping isnt riding... and having to lift your leg out of the way to miss hitting a barrel isnt riding either, its teaching your horse that its ok to cut off its pocket and not finish the barrel correctly.

my horse was only $4,000 and he mixes it up with the top 4 every weekend.. with people who have went out and brought horses for $70,000.

You guys are funny! You must have no idea what the NFR girls pay and sell horses for. Their backup horses sell for that much. Yes, I agree it is a much greater accomplishment to train one yourself. Some people are better trainers and some are better jockies. Mesa has a great horse, all I am saying is you have to give her credit for being able to handle all that pressure everytime she enters the arena. From what I can see she rides nice and quiet, doesn't lean or pull on her horses face.

I didnt say anything about NFR barrelracers.. and all im saying is that when you have a made horse you dont have to lean or pull on your horses face, just sit there quiet and your horse does exactly what it was trained to do.

@jrdenapoli actually a free runner is one that you don't have to kick as much, kuzz they will run hard anyways. if you kick them they might not rate as much at the barrel and go past it. i blieve the term you are looking for is "finished"

kicking and wipping isnt riding... and having to lift your leg out of the way to miss hitting a barrel isnt riding either, its teaching your horse that its ok to cut off its pocket and not finish the barrel correctly.
Yes, I am jealous of kids with rich mommies and daddies to buy them fancy ponies.. atleast i know when i do well its because of me.

Thank you hardcorexbarrelracer, at least you know where im coming from! I COMPLETELY respect the women from the nfr.because ya kno what? they obviesly know how to ride if they made it there. if u dont like it, well thats your issue not mine.
