  • I enjoyed your video as well. I never learned good homekeeping skills growing up so seeing it in action is helpful!

  • Great video...please make some more!!! Thanks

  • @lakegirl645

    Thanks so much!

  • Aren't you worried about breathing in the chemcials on a daily basis? I know that paper masks are a pain in the butt because they make it hard to breathe... and then your face gets all red and you fee like painting. So I guess the only solution is using green products that don't have chemicals in them? I'm worried because everything I've read is that if you clean every day... it can cause damage on your immune system over time.

  • Thank you for taking the time to comment about my video. Yes, working with chemicals is always risky, especially when you are around them nearly every day. I could never work with a mask (( tried a few times) because it would always work it's way up under my eyes and cause discomfort.

After housecleaning for several years, I gradually changed over to products that were easier on my system, but that also worked. I really like Greenworks (Clorox) line. They work great and are easy on me!

  • I like to use magic erasers ( A P&G) product to clean the inside of the toilet bowl. Just launched a cleaning business and would like more information on how to get clients.

  • Thanks for sharing something that works. I haven't tried these erasers, but I know they are very popular, so I'll have to give them a try. You can interest new clients in many ways, most are free or cost very little. Two of my favorites are to always carry business cards so you can hand them out where ever you go. The other is to create a professional looking flyer you can post on local bulletin boards. Keep that flyer looking good by replacing it often. Thanks again for your post!

  • please post more, you are excellent!

  • Thanks a bunch! :-)

  • You had me interested until you wiped the seat and then used the exact same towel to clean the top of the toilet including the toilet handle. you just transferred whatever pee/body fluids that were on the seat onto the handle and top of toilet. One rule that applies to mostly all cleaning is start from the top and work your way down. You defiet the purpose of sanatizing if you are going to cross contaminate germs that way.

  • Instead of using the pumice stone, you can use dry wall screen-bought from a hardware store. It works great, and doesn't scratch! -Hygienic Housecleaning, Olympia, WA

  • This is an awesome tip! Another person told me about using the drywall screen, which I haven't tried yet, but will. Thanks for watching the clip and posting a comment.

  • this is the best cleaning vid i have ever seen!

  • Thanks a bunch! I've become known as the "toilet queen" because of my techniques... funny huh? Take care and thanks for posting... Deb

  • Thanks a bunch!

  • Thanks!

1.) I made a mistake, I bought the 3 pack of green scrubbies and probably wont use them anymore! I dont want to scratch my toilets! I dont have any stains or rust in my toilet and since my house is fairly new I dont want to scratch them this early in the game!

2.) Sounds like a great cleaner, but it seems hard to find...Do you think Comet and a bowl brush will just be fine??

Ps. I really liked the green scrubby, it worked great! I wish it wouldn't scratch.

    Any other ideas?

  • Sorry for the delay. I sent a comment back, but I can see that it was not published. Since YouTube limits the amount I can write, try sending an inquiry through my websites Contact Me page. Then I can answer any question you have at length. As for using Comet everytime you clean the bowl. I would not recommend that. Comet has fine sand as part of the ingredients & could scratch if used regularly. Try Lysol or another liquid toilet cleaner. Using a bowl brush is great! Take care! Deb

  • Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my load of questions! BUT...i have more! Haha..

1.) I just bought a pack of green scrubby's and a container of Comet. I cleaned my toilet(s) with this is seems very effective...the only question I have about the green scrubby is that i was worried that it may scratch the glaze of the toilet bowl. May this be true?? Oh, an yes, i do use gloves!

2.) What do you use to clean the toilet as a regular bowl wash?...a bowl scrubber and Comet?

  • No problemo!

    1. Green scrubbies should not be used regularly because they CAN scratch the surface. I only use it to remove any scratches made from the pumie stick., not for regular cleaning.

    2. Biokleen's Soy Toilet Cleaner. It smells minty, ,has pumice in it. & cleans the toilet better than anything else I've used before. Its pricey though, about $7 for a 32 oz bottle. And yes, I use a toilet brush to clean the bowl.

Does that clear things up? Thanks for your questions... :-) Deb

  • Just a few questions:

1.) Do you use the green scrubby and Comet for regularly cleaning the toilet bowl or was that just for the scratches?

2.) Is the green scrubby made by Scotch Bright?

3.) I have very miled green lines from the water in my toilet bowl. I clean on a weekly basis. Is there any solution to this problem?

    Thanks so much!

  • 1. I use the green scrubby & Comet only to remove any scratches the pumice stone may make.

    2. Yes, Scotch Bright. Sometimes generic brands are too course.

    3. The only way I have ever been able to remove the green water stains is by using a Pumie Stick. It must be used wet. Dunk the stone in the water & scrub the stains, making sure to keep the stone wet at all times. Most people won't use these because they refuse to put their hands in the toilet....I say, use gloves! :-)

  • Thanks for taking the time to comment on my video snippet. I am becoming famous (in small obscure circles!!) for transforming terribly stained toilet bowls to ones that look like new again. I guess we are all "famous" for something! Thanks again! Deborah

  • Thank you for showing me how to remove the ring stains from the toilet. I had tried everything. The pumice stone did the trick. Hope you do more videos on house cleaning do's and don'ts.
