Based on that compare lap times and find which has the highest laptime vs. their p/w ratio. Other variables like tires, age and type of track make a difference though, so my proposed way still has a flaw but its better than this sherade. These bias "reviews" are just entertainment people.
@hsgmsj No one ever discusses power to aero drag ratio. I have a 1000 cc BMW and drag my buddys 1500cc heavy Suzuki. I can pull him till the speed increased to the point his big engine overcomes my lightness, from about 70 on he walks away from me. I pulled the big windscreen off my bike and installed the stock small one, and removed the luggage and lord have mercy what a difference, I killed him from 70 on. I thought he hadn't gone with me, he told me he had the throttle pinned.

You can drive home in a base Vette for 40 grand.

1. Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 - Even tho' it's mostly computer controlled, it's still great to handle, the tuning possibilities are endless and it's a really fun car to drive.
2. BMW M3 E36 - As much as I'm not a big fan of the E36 (overhyped by the youth of Finland, uggh), the E36's M3 handling is really smooth IMO and you can feel the grip, movement and overall the tires with the steering wheel, when you turn.
3. Ferrari F355 - I've driven only the F355 Spider but it's the same: Plain awesome.

The best handling car I've driven is my '84 Mustang, but then again its the only RWD I've driven that wasn't a rusty old VW, the other cars I've driven were 4 door FWDs and a 2CV was one of them, and it handled better than the VWs.
Yeah it's got a V12 and 38803081208120812 BILLION bhp and goes faster than a Saturn V, Mr. Clarkson, but the 106, won't get keyed, doesn't have a flat battery (unlike the Ferrari which you only drive .. once a year) and you can get about 60000 of them for the price of one Ferrari, so they will last longer.
i have an e36 316 (yes i know underpowered woteva) and wen i go round a corner really fast without power (no traction control) i expect under steer but suprisingly i dont get any, just tons of g-force...due to proper build that is

they are incredible. they are always better then their competition and they usually look better and are still pricier too.

@WOGI5M Honestly, my 306 gti was kind of a soulmate...as long as i treated it well and gave it the spurs from time to time, it forgave me months of "no oil" "no cooling liquid" "hard bumps with 50mph"...it never let me down ONCE! Still, they´re not very good quality, pretty much the entire steering and drivetain breaks apart in pretty short time. I love `em though^^

The best handling car I've driven is my '84 Mustang, but then again its the only RWD I've driven that wasn't a rusty old VW, the other cars I've driven were 4 door FWDs and a 2CV was one of them, and it handled better than the VWs.

Yeah it's got a V12 and 38803081208120812 BILLION bhp and goes faster than a Saturn V, Mr. Clarkson, but the 106, won't get keyed, doesn't have a flat battery (unlike the Ferrari which you only drive .. once a year) and you can get about 60000 of them for the price of one Ferrari, so they will last longer.

i have an e36 316 (yes i know underpowered woteva) and wen i go round a corner really fast without power (no traction control) i expect under steer but suprisingly i dont get any, just tons of g-force...due to proper build that is

honestly,, if you never drove a peugeot gti (106, 206, 306 doesn´t matter) don´t argue!
they are incredible. they are always better then their competition and they usually look better and are still pricier too.
as all peugeots, the have a heart and soul and if you treat them right and kick them to their edges every once in a while, they repay you with unconditional loyalty and live forever without servicing or refilling oil (my case^^)

@dagnut R33 is not "available" in germany, the didn´t import it here, noone i know has one, haven´t driven it but as most guys here, i still know what the skyline is capable of!
which m3? the 2009 convertible? the e36 coupe? the "old" CSL?choose one!
i´ll give you a hint, i worked in a BMW contracted dealer´s for 4 years, i´ve driven almost every BMW since 2003! some not far enough to get an impression, but 1,3 and 5 series, i know very very well ! !

@YeeSoest i've had a 306 gti and a 207 gti.. and they are AMAZING. I can take corner heaps well. but one flaw is that they aren't reliable!!!!!!!!!

@WOGI5M Honestly, my 306 gti was kind of a soulmate...as long as i treated it well and gave it the spurs from time to time, it forgave me months of "no oil" "no cooling liquid" "hard bumps with 50mph"...it never let me down ONCE! Still, they´re not very good quality, pretty much the entire steering and drivetain breaks apart in pretty short time. I love `em though^^
