  • You are a good man. You have been extremely helpful for a school project of mine. Very informative video, no detail left out! Thanks!

  • There is a compact and reusable coffee drip in the market.

Look for "Finum Coffee" in amazon.com

  • you like the wake the dead coffee black ok but the stove works good lol

  • would dryer lint serve the same purpose as the house insulation or would it burn too fast ? What if it was packed really tight ?

  • Enjoyed the vid. Sturdy bit of self build there, very nice. some good ideas. Fresh coffee can't beat it.

  • Very cool!

  • Saved me 20$ brother thx

  • What is the cover you use for the system? bacause the us gi cover wont fit anyomre

  • @bushcraftmaster12201 I did have to get a modern ALICE canteen cover to fit the stove and cup, my old pre 1970s one was just too tight! As for the addition of the second cup along with the first cup and stove... For now I just keep the second cup in my pack. From what I understand, the newer ACU MOLLE II Canteen covers with the Y strap have plenty of room to allow for a canteen two canteen cups, one on top and one on bottom of the canteen, and the canteen stove.

  • Good work Bub iam with you on the coffee thing you can not beat freshly ground beans

  • Nice vid. How about a DIY cappuccino foamer to go with that?

  • @billpg LOL! I'll be working on that Bill! You better believe as soon as I get it figured out, I'll show you how I done it! Then you can enjoy your beloved cup of cappuccino right there on the trail along with me! :-)

  • Cool little stove you got there. I like the way it all nests. great idea.

  • Always enjoy seeing successful DIY gear - good one, thanks!

  • Great vid. I pack a small strainer with me for my coffee. Thanks for sharing, and liked the DIY stove idea.

  • Great video, Bub!

  • Great job my friend..i like it :-)

  • great idea ...went to the surplus store today and all i could say was holy shit 9.99 for a cup lol so i'll send you the money and you can pick me up a few of them LOL

  • @poormansbushcraft Wow! They're proud of their cups, huh? If you can't find any locally, try ebay. I just searched form "Military Canteen Cup" and found several used for $2-$3 and new ones from $5-$14 on the buy it now prices. One dealer had 5 Stainless Steel Canteen Cups for a dollar more than the price your store was asking for ONE! Worst case scenario, PM me we'll see what we can work out. ;-)

  • @BackwoodsUncleBub military base town they know the GIs have to replace them to turn in gear when they are getting out the army or air force so they jack up the price

  • THANKS and Great Job! You have inspired me to make one of those. I gotta make an altoid stove too. I currently use a stove threw together from a stainless steel hand towl dispenser. I used the Nomad Nimblewill plans for the little dandy wood stove. I used a dremel at first and went to a metal blade in a jig saw to finish it. I too burned up several wheels on the dremel and then burned out the brushes..lol the jig saw worked very well.

  • always fun to make your own stuff.

  • Holding the coffee filter on the rim of the cup with a rubber band works too.

  • Bub-

    Another great episode. Thank you

  • @LongHunter,

I usually use a brand called Blue Smoke (YouTube username is BlueSmokeCoffee) It's roasted locally (less than100 miles of me) in Knoxville, TN. It's 100% organic, shade grown coffee that's just deliciuos. I really like their Canopy blend. The owner of the company is a real great Guy, and I look forward to talking to him when I run into him delivering stock at my local Green Life Grocery.

  • Very nice. Now I gotta make one.

  • Great idea. I'm all about DIY and saving money.

  • good idea for those who might not be able to afford the real thing

  • I like it brother.......I like to keep things simple and low cost at the same time. Keep up the good videos.
