  • My grandfather exhibits all this on a level I have not encountered with anyone else and flies into a rage when confronted. No one has really found a successful way of dealing with him other than either to do what he says or just ignore him, if that's possible. But we're also a close, "traditional" family, so we haven't abandoned him, as I frankly think many/most people would have. I haven't figured out all the neuroses he's caused in the rest of us, but I'm certain there are many.

  • my ex husband still has pictures of "his Florida home" posted on FB.....when in reality the "home" belonged to a 70 y/o woman who had money that he hooked up! She left him after 6 months because he stole from her! Money I suppose!

  • no one could live up your standard!

  • Can I ask this question? Is there minor narcissism in A.D.D.? I felt like I had a bit of it with this disorder since I was constantly impatient with people and I looked down on them.. um I don't want to go into detail because I don't quite remember, but I was just wondering

  • These are brilliant observations. Thank you for helping me discover my issues in relationships. I never realized why I had so much unneccesary sympathy for things I in reality didn't understand. I guess I "felt" awkward by just listening to people's problems, but apparently that's all I have to do. That's not so bad :)

  • Brilliant. Who hacked this and dropped it by two octaves?

  • @all13Doctors I mean brilliant observations, but who messed with the vid?

  • con... . I am in the process of pursuing a lawsuit against that person for their defamation of my character which cost me a great amount of money and health. I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder now and a heart condition. Should I then, not have stated the truth to that N? If so, what is being done in the criminal justice system to prevent victimization of those that fall prey?

  • So offer me some guidance here: I have Asperger's syndrome. When I confronted my Narcissist with the facts of the truth about their life, this could have triggered a rage attack reaction form the Narcissist in my life? What happened shortly after the first confrontation was that the person set out to destroy my life, (and very nearly did just that).

  • Thank you, Sam. My experience has endured is enduring a change of life situation for 3 years, sansing my professional life to take care of my dying parents... expected fears, a plethora of inexplicable feelings. My businesses included constant chatter an employ saw effecting me. Enter: chatline. my & my dying parents' target zone. I'll send an overview i'll share with others my heart breaks for. (i can do it !) and within your boundaries.

  • sam, i have been absolutely enjoying your good work. i found one of your vids, and must confess that now my day has been spent clicking one right after the next, completely immersed

your vids are like a bag of potato chips ... i couldnt stop at one! hehehe lol

  • @paragshah2112 maybe because someone finally understands and confronts you with yourself. Narcissists are very confused about the world and life and therefore these vids are a true insight provoking material especially for narcissistic individuals

  • @sa1nt84 RIGHT! its like " hi, i'm sam vaknin and this is why you are a narcissist ... " hehehe lol

i just want to know what to do at this point. do i turn myself in, or just jump off a bridge?

  • What I don't hear people mentioning is that being around many Narcissists or Psychopaths can turn YOU into a Narcissist because of being around self-righteous people all the time.

I was once a really loving, trusting individual but I've run into increasing numbers of people throughout my life that only care about themselves and it starts to make you care less as well. It's hard to find genuine people these days. It would bring out the loving me if I found them.

  • ...I can label a lot of people Narcissists in sheep skin.

  • I still, every now and then, listen to Sam's videos as a way to cope with the 3 years I wasted in love with a narcissist. After trying to break up with this person numerous times, I was finally able to ended through a text message, asking him to take one of his current supplies on a date instead of taking me. I can't even hear his voice (he works at my company) without feeling sick to my stomach. I guess I am cured of him forever. Sam's videos help me stop running away from the obvious truth.

  • My father ( narcissistic but not disorder ) always said if he couldn't control, then he had to leave. Exposure, when used correctly, is a powerful defensive tool.

  • Thank you again for you most helpful work Sam, you are changing peoples lives!!! I wonder how many of us are truly loving our narcicists and how many of us are just still tring to GET our own narcissistic supply from them ? And continue to be frustrated ! It was only as I started to truly love my enemy that I started to feel that love in return instead of empty approval ... Ask Jesus for help , He loves you all : )

  • Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, iris not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always persevers. Love never fails.

  • the soundtrack seems to change is depthlevel in the middle and at the end there is no soundtrack at all. The video I have added to my favorit. Thank you .

Once confronted with facts with the possibility of blowing the top.. what happens then.? Could they hurt themselves? Do something stupid? Is there are chance of some insight creeping in... Selfreconition. . Would could it be the beginning of a healing crisis?

  • how to "help" a Narcissist to get out of these fake things and at the same time to highly estimate and being grateful to him for his intelligence and real uniquness and brightness? how is is possible to give a N. the feeling that he IS really unique - how to let his true Self, not his Fake Self to know this - how to deliver the real message without being the N.S.?

  • Yes, these comments / observations will likely make a narcissist go away unless it is a relative in which case s/he will consider you jealous or spiteful and continue to use any device of provocation or manipulation to keep you around as a source of narcissistic supply.

I have cut off all contact from my mother and blocked ten different phone numbers that she has used to call me; and she STILL (though I've offered no reply for years) finds a way to call and leave the occasional rambling message

  • @kozychik Has anyone told you how bad you were for not seeing your mother?

  • something is wrong with this video recording at 2:30

  • ". . . or (God forbid) you are stupid." - LOL

  • @kozychik Is the voice change in the middle a haloween joke?

  • @danaloesjka hahahaha! It was a bit creepy :-)

  • @danaloesjka Frikin weird, that's just what I thought haha!
