  • You're hard core!

  • This is very nice for someone with money to burn. however lots of people who are interested in chickens are not looking for a hobby to throw money into. They're looking for a way to create more value for less money.

You did a very nice job.

  • Very very very smart to add the pen that birds of prey can't even get into. I know a friend who had chickens and her's was killed by a hawk because the chickens were roaming freely.

  • It's one of the best coops I have seen, and obviously still very new. I do believe that your hens will begin to roost on top of your window screens, however. An alternative design would be to screen over the entire window on the inside, and have the windows tilt outward, either hinged on the sides, or hinged on the top so that rain won't come in.

    Very good job!

  • Forget the chickens, I want to live in that coop.

  • wew

  • From having macaws for years, I know that birds really like to perch on what they'd naturally perch on in the wild - a round branch. Manzanita is a hardwood and is smooth and really good for their feet unlike square store-bought wood. You can find it on ebay as branches precut or trim it yourself. Also ceramic bulbs last way longer than red ones and do no emit light that might irritate the birds to sleep under. But all and all what an amazing coop.

  • It's funny how a chick cost $4.00 and I a cage can cost Thousands. You did a great job on your cage I really like it!

  • That is the best coop I have ever seen in my life the two way entry was brilliant and you have spared no expense on the safety and well being of your chickens and your way if retrieving the eggs is brilliant as well I'm so tired of having to go into my coop and scare the chickens every time I want eggs would you mind if I modeled my new coop after yours and where can I purchase this automatic coop door opener that is such a great idea

  • If you’re only planning on keeping one or two chickens total, you might want to build a chicken hutch rather than building an entire chicken coop, since this will get the job done and be a much cheaper and less time consuming option. i suggest to take a look at this site:

  • very nice coup and enclosure.

  • Damn I would love to live in this coop!

  • I absolutely love this. I am chicken obsessed. I would be in heaven with something like this. I wish everyone cared enough about these sweet birds to treat them with such care. Thanks for sharing.

  • Very nicely built. You care more about chicken comfort than anyone I've seen. I'm sure you're rewarded with particularly large eggs.

  • this has low cost and high life time

    good work

  • Of course chain link fencing is use with the chicken wire for the pen. The window screening is called hardware cloth or hail screen depending to who you are talking If you get dumb looks try the other term.with.

  • Why the hell am i watching chicken videos?

  • Chicken Shangrila!

  • i like your coop i am 14 and run my own chickens without the help of others and i have 49 hens and one roster that coop is a great size it seems all i ever see on youtube is a small coop with three hens or one with 10000 i try to look on here for insperation and i like your coop

  • That chicken door is awesome!

  • YEAH THAT COOP IS NICER THAN MY HOUSE.

  • How the FUCK did i get here?

  • What a great video. Thank you for all the great tips! You have employed some great ideas.

  • You don't butt fuck the chickens okay? That's not what they're for, no matter how horny you are. Fuckin homo farmer

  • that is the Cadillac of chicken coops

  • genius

  • I love it

  • I love the windows, I have seen people in Kosovo that would kill to live in that coop. You sank a lot of money on that thing. If I was a chicken I would want to live at your place.

  • MAKE ME ONE

  • Lol Thats 2 Feet? HOW TALL IS HE!?

  • What material is your floor in your coop made from?

  • What does the back of the coop look like?

  • You are really passionate and the way you call them she and girls are really appropriate to suit your passion

  • im about to embark on a similar project, the little lady wants her chicken coop to look like the house... AND i know nothing about chickens, i think i'm about to learn, i'm interested in laying hens and poultry, are they two different kinds of birds? do i need to keep them separated? do you feed them the same thing? what are benifits of having a rooster?

  • very informing, i think i get the basic concept but will spend much less on my coup thanx!

  • When I grow up I want to have a chicken coop and goats and free ranging cows and sheep! I think that would be so fun having a tiny farm and a little garden! I love this video!

  • cool but would be 100x better if ya didnt paste ya website over top of it throughout the vid.

  • AMAZING. Chicken coop is nothing near that wonderful masterpeice. How long did this take you to build???I'm guessing LONG time.

  • that is awsome!!!

  • Nice coop! Are those cicadas making that noise?? :O

  • window should open the other way, cause bird can get cut in the opening and get damage or worse

  • I love your windows! Do you have a problem when it rains? The rain getting in. I know you have eves but if the wind blows?

    those are called hopper windows?

  • Very nice coop and very nice to see someone actually really care about animal. This probably seem very expensive but its going to last a very long time and also chicken and eggs does play a very big part in some people life as a good meat or laying eggs. So I would not mind spend a bit of money so they can live happily but just on thing I am concerning about is the door. what happen if it close while the chicken are queuing up to get it because the door seem to shut rather fast.

  • I WANTED TO TAKE JUST A MOMENT .... AWESOME LINE

  • AutomaticChickenCoopDoorcom is the link to the site where we provide the Automatic Chicken Coop Doors. We've had many people buy them.... no valid complaints as of yet! Everyone seems to really enjoy the assurance of knowing thei birds are safe at night. Our door has not failed on our coop yet. No losses since installing our own Automatic Chicken Coop Door!

  • @AutomaticChickenCoop You might want to consider rain water harvesting and collect some of the rain water right there at the coop. Many folks have set up auto watering from a rain barrel. - Just a thought... Aquabarrel Rain Barrel

  • VERY NICE BUT,,YOU FORGOT THE BIG SCREEN, SOUND SYSTEM AND DISCO BALL,,YOURE CARPENTER LOVES YOU. HE IS WAITING FOR THE CALL TO BUILD A DOG HOUSE...

  • This is a great. It may seem somewhat expensive at first glance, but what would it cost you to lose a dozen chickens that you've spent months raising?

  • @bacchanalian87 That is what happens when you work hard.

  • spoiled chickens.. .i just love your coop and your very smart on how you designed it. its given me great ideas for my chicken coop.

    thanks for sharing!!

  • World's most expensive chicken run, right there. I mean- CHAIN LINK? Daaaaaannnnngggg. It's a chikkun mansion!

  • @homeostasis4me Actually, all of or fencing was given to us. It was an old dog run that someone had behind their garage just wasting away...

  • @homeostasis4me more like prison

  • Wow! that chicken coop has more amenities than my room:)

  • soo sick

  • you are so sweet to make their lives better :)

  • nice coop

  • wow wonderful job :)

  • if i was a chicken i would want to live there the only things your missing is a tv and a toilet lol

  • That you for sharing. I loved that you seemed to really think of ways to make their lives safe and pleasurable. I saw one coop/run that had outdoor perches and places for the chickens to sit on and play while in the run. Also, your voice is clear and the camera is steady. THANK YOU FOR THAT ")

  • I know this was expensive to build but, If you want to have something that is going to last, its well worth the price. very well thought out. I would of done the same thing. I dont look at the price I look at safety and happness of the chicken I dont play around with my food. :) would this work well for a turkey if you made the doors bigger?

  • @crewlla Yes it would. Actually, our goats usually end up in the chicken run during the day. I think they feel protected inside the fence when the girls are out free ranging. There are usually a few chickens still in the run and they signal the alert if an intruder comes around. I believe you could keep just about any kind of bird or small animal in this set up. I may build another just to raise Bob White quail in.

  • Thanks for sharing- I love my "girls" and also am proud of the coop we have for them. Please file a complaint on Rhino1541- I flaged the video only to report Rhino's post- hoping Rhino will lose youtube account!

  • wow, nice coop but it must have cost a fortune to build.

  • @ssecretgirl1983 Not really... alot of spare stuff we had from building a house last year. Any small shed could be converted to this.

  • @AutomaticChickenCoop i might look into this idea. my rooster believe it or not lives in a underground Cave shed........... but still its warm in there for the winter. but a coop be nice too.

  • You've really thought of everything on this. Simply excellent. Thanks for giving this tour. I think it will help a lot of people keep their chickens safer - and also give them a dream coop to aspire to! lol Will have to check out your web site. 5 Stars easy!

  • loved the side door that allows you to reach in and grab the eggs withoug going inside very smart

  • WoW I;m amazed! I build my own, compared to this mines the projects, yours is the taj mahal Hall! nice!
