Despite the fact that he's one of the best pitchers of all time, Clemens was heavily disliked long before his steroids deal. He's just a huge asshole and a world class douche. If you were to ask the fan bases of any team he played for to name their top ten favorite players who played for their team, Clemens name would appear on very few lists. Again not because of the steroids, but because of how offputting he was.
