ponting is past his best cause of his little wrist while sachin is churning out ton after ton after ton and hes only 18 months older than little ricky. also when you combine his odi scores and see how hes made 92 international tons Sachin will always be the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, but its easy to see why aussies place so much on sports, you have nothing else your entire enconomy is geared towards supplying the asian giants with raw materials, kind of a slave role really ;-)
