  • Did You paid them to post this? Fcuk tah yobootie

  • While I like this song very much, this is one of their weakest videos, Granted the lyrics dancing around and being projected is a nice idea, but that stuff had little to do with the song except for the eco-facts. With a bit of budget they could have portrayed the sort of life in a post-apocalyptic/nature reclaiming the earth kind of scenario described so brilliantly in the lyrics. Think David Byrne et al in a 'walking dead' scenario, only without the zombies. OK, maybe a couple of zombies.

  • 80ssss♥

  • "And as things fell apart / Nobody paid much attention" - Bret Easton Ellis used that as the epigraph at the beginning of 'American Psycho' Genius collides with genius.

  • This is the song! Believe.

  • 1:53 HEY I have seen this in a radiohead video... but backward.

  • This song has really made my Day :-D

  • I wonder why a beautiful and post-apocaliptical song has only 82092 views...

  • Clerks 2!

  • It's all about Johnny Marr on this.

  • I'm glad they went back to their jams and free-play of their earlier work for their final album. It's like they came full circle before they finished.

  • bloody hell i never knew the late great kirsty mc coll sang backing vocals on this song . this has made an already brilliant song so much cooler .

  • @irishmanufan You should check out David Byrne's solo album Rei Momo Kirsty sings backing on that album too, she would have made a great Talking Head, love her attitude in this vid.

  • I had the ten inch of this. Green and lovely.

  • There should be more songs about the growing threat of environmentalism and the ceaseless creep of the wilderness encroaching upon our beautiful, fragile urban environments.

  • pure genius. pure genius. enough said.

  • So much happened in this music video but so little at the same time.

  • Johnny Marr, I love you more and more!

  • Talking Heads-brilliant memories!!

  • Johnny Marr wows in this videoo!!

  • I love this song and would one day like to visit David Byrne's planet.

  • @mgragor It looks like so. One might like them or not, but the Talking Heads are unique. Their music is different from anybody's else. Byrne really seems to have taken inspiration from another world: maybe he has ;-)

  • very clever song

  • TALKING HEADS=GODS

    DAVID BYRNE=ZEUS

  • Great tune great lyrics. Heads forever :-)

  • Only just noticed Johnny Marr on guitar! Like an impossible dream to me in the 80's- Talking Head and Smiths guitar!

Do you know an indie guitarist that sounds like a yeast based spread? No but Johnny Marr might.

My fav joke from Adam and Joe's 6 music show.

  • @djch123 Yeah, it's very different from the style he normally played. Crap joke by the way

  • @djch123 And the female singer is the late Kirsty MacColl.

    Bloody hell- that's Kirsty!

  • Clerks 2 FTW

  • jay and silent bob ftw

  • They've done something to this VideoClip. I'm sure in the original clip when they showed half the singers' faces during the "You got it" line there was text on the opposite vacant part of the screen. Advertising current social issues and things like "20,000 acres of Amazon forest are torn down each day" etc.

  • Yeah you're fight. I watched it here about a year ago and it definitely had random facts

  • if you go on myspace and choose to search 'videos' and type 'nothing but flowers' then you should find the first two results are of the music video. if you go on the first one, it includes all of the facts about social issues.

  • Yeah, I can't believe they've chopped those out, that's absolutely fucking crooked.

  • i <3 this songggggg

  • yves ndjock from the specials??

    johnny mar is my master!!

    good video!!

    thanks

    from brazil

  • the heads were geniuses. i really miss them

  • the Talking Heads were, by and large, David Byrne. have you checked out his solo career? he is as brilliant as ever. please do yourself a big favor, and have a listen!

  • @seamasmanly Amen. Rei Momo straight after Naked is a perfect combo.

  • if only this actually happened, rather than the complete opposite...

  • Awesome music. Johnny Marr (The Smiths) plays guitar on this one.

  • Yep! I didn't noticed that before, but I just saw it.

  • such a great, great song!

  • classic!

  • great song.. perfect intro to Clerks II

  • why did they get rid of the facts and figures? Maybe EMI doesn't want to get sued

  • That's true, at first I didn't noticed. Pretty lame...
