I know lot's of people writing music and performing it! Maybe you're just not cut out for the music industry. What about xf actor... would you not give that a try??? Re. Karaoke, from what I can tell, all the song versions you do have been pre-recorded by other people? I know you don't mean to be semantic, but essentially what you do is sing along and play piano to existing melodies and tunes etc.
I bet most of the people you know writing & performing their own stuff are not making a living out of it.I wrote a lot of stuff in the 80s and had three contracts(2 publishing and 1 recording,but sadly it was'nt to be).I'm shocked that with your so called knowledge,you cannot tell the difference between Karaoke & a cover version.Regards X factor,my mum won New faces in 1976,so I do have a modicum of information as to how these shows are rigged.
Oh, perhaps your friends don't know that their is virtually no song one cannot get on youtube. I sometimes search for even the most obscure old songs, and I swear to god ... everything is here? Your voice and playing are ok.., do you have any songs of your own? It's just I've heard most of your posts before and usually I don't like karaoke!

I do appreciate any feedback I get from youtube subscribers and viewers.
However,on this occasion,I simply cannot decipher your opinion.
You stae that you can ACTUALLY get the original version on youtube.(and why did I put this on)
I put this on because I have a circle of friends and subscribers who EXPECT me to come up with an array of 70s,80s & 90s covers.
That is what my channel is all about.
I'm so glad you have discovered it,and look forward to more comments that you may care to leave.

I'm sure they are aware that certain 'Original versions" may tickle their taste buds more than my offerings,.
Yes,I have original songs,but alas,after 25 years of performing in clubland,Nobody wants to hear self penned music any more.
Karaoke is singing to a pre recorded version of a song.
I play ALL my songs with a 'LIVE" piano and Vocal..........

I don't read music....I just play and sing ........Live
