Personally, i think that the Sydney Test match, was what sparked a long period of tension between Australia and India, and it is only beginning to subside now. I also think it played some part in the whole series of bashings on Indian students that occurred around this time last year. There was childish racism being displayed from both Australians and Indians, you need only look at ntdnad's comment below saying "All indians are d'heads...etc" and similar comments from indians about Aussies.

There haven't been any games where the umpiring has gone completely in India's favour, but there have been games that have gone very much in their favour in the return leg in India Australia copped some woeful ones. The thing the media missed out is that australia copped some dreadful (admittedly less) decisions in sydney as well. After being given a life, pontings dismissal was very average as was one of Symonds.
