I play everyday and its great, been playing since release.  I've tried other games but I always end up back in DAoC.

A few thousand people are still playing, despite Mythic's use of the nerf stick.

I played for 9 years and finally left. I got tired of the nerfs, as did many thousands of other players.

Mythic listened to the whiner boards [VN] and used the nerf stick too often. Don't misunderstand, that board has some good people, Mythic listened to the wrong ones.

For me the core of the game was community and New Frontiers, however, with nerf after nerf a toon becomes less pleasing to play.

Left Axe actually got un-nerfed and was fixed to scale up in damage properly. Zerkers are again top of the food chain of the light tanks. Been playing mine a lot lately. Silence charge + Charge + Banespike with 2h and Vendo pretty much two hits anything in the game except Heros and Armsmen. Averaging 3k damage in two swings. And believe it or not, Thane's just got some love in the latest patch yesterday. Their weapon damage for Hammer spec got buffed.

I really miss this game, I stopped playing on kay about 4 years ago and tried to get back into it but no one plays anymore. Seems wow has taken most of us, which sucks b/c the pvp was legendary and still is!!!!!!!!

Hey all everyone who misses to good old pre toa days there is a free server called uthgard that is classic with old frontiers and in the next couple of weeks will also have old RA's, there are like 850 people online on a monday nights which is mad lol.... its like the good old days :)

today there are much more and maybe better games in gaming style but camelot is only ONE

I remember when I was playing, I actually was there, discovering a fairy world close to my hearth

even though wow and lineage and dunno, conan or whatever has better gaming style and game systems and everything, none of those can offer you that feeling

I'm playing albion these days and I've noticed A LOT of new people, like people who's never even tried it before. Had a stroll through Camelot last night and there was loads of people there, even lagged some, lol.

I remember the day this happened. Me, my dad, my brother and my sister all logged on to our accounts that night and went on to guild chat, got a group going, and went into an rvr area. But in Rvr, nobody was fighting. the characters decided to hug eachother instead. I dunno if anyone else was around when it happened, but its something that won't easily shake from memory

they're renewing the Dark Age of Camelot style of gameplay with 2008 quality in Warhammer Online... you could always try that. Keeps/Seiges, instanced scenarios, Realm vs. Realm conflict, all that good stuff.

No shit Sherlock, the game is like 6 fucking years old now, although with each expansion they also updated the graphics.

The game sucks now, but even with all the changes, the PvP in DAoC is still better than the PvP in WoW.

Yeah, it was my first mmorpg as well, was like 12, and got to level 5, the expansions arn't really a bad thing, they made it to much like EQ , the real game didn't start till level 50, and to get to 50 was this massive, scary ,impossible grind.
