I wonder what the logistics of organizing an International Brigade to support the Zapatistas would be? The Spanish Republicans had 40,000 foreigners fighting for them in the Spanish Civil War. I would definitely fight for libertarian socialism with the Zapatistas if an International brigade was formed. i guess its members would have to infiltrate Mexico in pairs of 2 or 3. It couldnt simply arrive all at once. and it would have to be made up of people who could supply their own food as well.

the best place to go is to the zapatista Juntas de Buen Gobierno, their governments. There are 5 Caracoles or gov't centers in Chiapas, Mexico. The 2nd best place is to the Cafe Comandanta Ramona in Mexico City, on Zapotecos street, near the metro station Doctores, although you should be careful there to be sure you are giving the money to the correct person and clearly to the Juntas de Buen Gobierno Zapatistas. The Mexican Mestizo which is about 95% of the population is very corrupt. My recommendation is to find yourself a Spanish speaking guide Preferably someone from the United States who travels to mexico often takes you there to establish a connection with them. Make your donation in person. Just don't carry cash alot of kidnappings going on over there

well man, Marcos was a political teacher at one of the 3 best universities in México, he had a phd degree in political science and he also take a few of his students with him to take place in fighting for those people.

well man, Marcos was a political teacher at one of the 3 best universities in México, he had a phd degree in political science and he also take a few of his students with him to take place in fighting for those people.
He's been very careful about what the media knows about him and what to tell to media at his interviews and stuff, but he's really helping those people in the struggle and in the way of living.

They want to take away the truth of the situation by saying Marcos is charismatic. As if the things he say can't stand up on their own. If he is a hero or rockstar, then all the better for the movement. Let everyone lend their talents to a cause they believe in. We are all people. In a sense all people's struggles are zapatista struggles. For the most part, however, we are on our own. Subcomandante won't be able to rescue the suburbs, or will he?....hmmmm....
