  • Good set up but in the UK this technique is ILLEGAL a snare HAS to be FREE RUNNING so it relaxes when the rabbit stops struggling

  • did you make that fence, it looks great

  • Great videos could u possibly make a video of how to make one and what is the name of that snare

    dave

  • did you make that fence?

man that's incredible! I hope you've got a tutorial on how to fashion one :)

  • Great videos, where are you from? South West?

  • Might wanna check the legality of that sort of snare mate, as far as I'm aware they're supposed to be free running and set away from fences/ hedgerows............. I enjoyed the vid just giving you a headsup incase I'm right.

  • cheers mate the last time i looked i could,nt see it was illegal i looked on the defra snare code of practice ,unless its been updated were did you look mate ?

  • dude where abouts in the uk do u live?

  • hey man

how do you make this trap it looks rly awesome!

  • That is very cool! Well done, bro!

  • cool cant wate for hunting and traping season over here in the us

  • Nice setup. I use the old stick -in- the- ground method. Not too often I use a spring snare or a weighted trigger.

  • hey man u play cod 4 ay ive seen u on

  • what gauge wire is that?

  • Outstanding! Would have loved to have had dinner with you that night! Nothing like fresh rabbit over an open fire with a few extra fixin's to go with it. Great snare! Keeps the animal off the ground so that ground dwelling insects stay away from it.

  • Can you show the trigger stick?

  • Cool, How do you cook your rabbit? I shot one and cooked it but it was like eating dirt.

  • I learned that after dressing out the rabbit if you soak it in a solution of half 7up or sprite and water for a few hours it will take that sort of flavor out of the animal. You could also try a low sodium brine and soak it in that for a few hours and it should help with the flavor issues as well. Hope this helped.

  • Hay thanks alot. I'll give it a try.

    Mark

  • do rabbits have those glands on their thighs like squirrels do? just wondering. always wanted to try rabbit meat

  • That's a REALLY nice trap right there. I never though of using a fence trap before. 5*

    Gotta try this.

  • Great video Malc... equally great harvest. Too bad that your warning lasted longer than the actual snaring... when wil people realize that in order for something to live, something must die?

    5/5 and faved. Ed

  • Great snare JJR11111 you should do a more in depth video on your type of snare and techniques you use great stuff

  • cool, i used to snare rabbits, but know i raise them for meat, and hunt behing beagals

  • the warnings were hilarious

  • Great Video Malc, Good to have a warning, even though we shouldn't need one, i know why you do it,

I hate dicks who watch videos they don't like and then flag them, those people are cunts.

Great video, good to see the whole process.

    Looks tasty, lol

    Mike.

  • I agree it doesnt make much since at all to watch a video that you know bloody damn well know is going to piss you off then you make comments about how it made you mad it just shows how stupid people really can be trapping was and still is a way of life for many people around the world

  • Thanks xsplosive1975, Glad you agree, i know Malc would like to do more of these videos (Featuring Kills), but gets put off because of ramdom flaggers and the kind,

He had a video removed once and even got a 6 month warning, thats why he had the Disclamier warning and also why he doesn't feature many of his catches.

Which is a pity because we should be able to show this stuff without fear that some idiot is going to flag it.

    See you.

    Mike.

  • wat we need to do is make our own website just for hunting and traping videos

  • Very True Norm, when i get time i'll try to mae one for malc, he doesn't usually have a lot of time now.

  • There's about 900 already made i think. Forums and stuff.

But if you need someone for the HTML or PHP etc. I could probably do it for you. If not my friend would fix up the rest.

I usually only use application programming languages lol.

  • @xsplosive1975

I agree partly. It is important that the animals dont suffer. If you catch one with a trap, kill it instantly. It makes me furiously angry seeing some people tease or torture their prey

  • nice, I bet it suffered a hell of lot less then if just snared with a ground based snare.

  • this is a realy great video im gonna try to do this

  • LMAO I love this video I Love the HUGE warning even more !!!! FUCK THE PEOPLE WHO DONT LIKE IT BRO YOU DONT NEED A WARNING LOL

  • Nice job bro 5/5

  • lol i like the warning at the bigining

  • Malc, you might be jealous hehe I am going to a trappers convention in two weeks.

5/5 on the video!!! Put in the playlist!

  • ha ha sounds like fun my friend .have a good time , we don,t have trappers conventions here which is a shame .

    thanks skogkniv .

    malc
