  • the ladies face is priceless... 01:54

  • Very good, but several glaring perfomance mistakes...

  • Does anyone else hear someone's goat bleating at 8:55? I'm pretty sure I took all of my medication today...just sayin'...

  • Great to hear, but not so great to see..

  • Fabulous!

  • MARVELOUS!

  • Great performance, wonderful video!

  • @fredjmp

    MY Darling Fred,

Thank you ....this is just like being at a Scuola Grande in Venezia.

Love Vivaldi.......A million Stelle. Fav. Classical PL.

  • @fredjmp Brigada, amigo!

    Sensacional!!!

  • Wonderful performance.......just that it would be better if it was somewhere else, the background is pretty freaky.

  • This is the performance i've been looking for, Vivaldi Must be proud

  • Ganbatte !!.

  • I love everything except the soloist she has so much energy that she cant transition well, especially in the beginning, i wish shed down it down a few notches.

  • The lady playing the harp came in early 4:49. 1/4 compass early I think. She starts playing the progression that should start at 4:52 along with the violin. Other than that, the performance was absolutely stunning.

  • Where is the love button

  • Love her expression!

  • lol i thin she got lost....lol her face i would of turned redder then a tomato if i messed up

  • Great performance, but the "storm" at the beginning is a little bit too fast.

  • @bramilan Thats why its actually my favourite version of it. For me it sounds more passionate and storm more "stormy"(compared to the original). Maki Itoi is undeniably top class violonist and some critics consider her second best of the world. Its pretty sure that she plays the winter faster on purpose. It takes Lot of practice And talent to be able to play it so fast(even those who are quite talented and have played maybe 4-5years have difficulties with the original version fast parts).

  • @bramilan I suppose storms are nice and calm.

  • made me cry... sublime

  • As I commented here a long time ago, this is absolutely perfect!

Well done, I rather listen to this video than any of the most famous one when you type Vivaldi Winter on youtube.

  • her performance is great I like it

  • 2 thumps up ;) very good

  • Outstanding......

  • goosebumps

  • :') Amazing!

  • Somebody lost there 4:49 ???

  • BRAVO!!!!

  • 23 people disliked this? really?!

  • This is the way I like it, not academy, but passion

  • This is the way I like it, not academy, but passion

  • insane ending

  • wonderful playing, you're divine!

  • super bien tocan

  • Ah I loved this.

  • the cough at 2:51-2:52 is the most percussive element of this performance.

  • Great performance of one of Vivaldi's masterpieces.

  • wtf¡¡¡¡ aaaaaaaaaaa beautiful song¡¡

  • BRAVO !!!!

  • :o Holy shit. I literally started tearing up when I heard the lead violinist start playing. This doesn't happen often. This is my favorite musical piece of all time and I've never, ever, ever seen it played with such incredible passion and precision.

  • nice muy belo

  • man, this is so much better than the other online versions

  • Marvelous.

    I could watch/listen repeatedly.

    Oh wait, I have.

  • Genious!

  • muy buena musica

  • Amazing!

  • aaaa I LOVE VIVALDIII¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MUSIC n.n

  • =^.^=

  • Who is she? Whats her name?

  • @FernandezPabloo She's Maki Itoi

  • @fer1666 Thanks! =)

  • She plays beautifully, but she constantly looks like she is in the middle of getting her head chopped off while having a seizure.

  • At 3:02 she's going a little bit too fast, she looks at the conductor and corrects it slowly, how professional!

  • @s0012823 how could you possibly know that? i never would have had a clue lol.

  • i like it. perfect vivaldi style

  • This is great! And Maki Itoi is a SUPERB violinist!

  • Beautiful performance, I really love winter! It's so difficult.

  • This is great, but Julia Fischer is still better.

  • espectacularrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • I Iove Winter

  • Favoloso, sublime, superlativo...bravissimi artisti...complimenti...very nice classic music !!!

  • lol its almost as if the violinist is just spamming on her bow ;)

  • I'm wathing this for the 100th time and still I'm impressed. Perfection!

  • Wonderfull.Thank you for posting it.

  • ES LO MAXIMO, ME ENCANTA ESTA MUJER

  • ME ENCANTA, ELLA ES UNICA, ESPECTACULAR EN ESTE MUNDO, LA AMO

  • ME ENCANTA, ELLA ES UNICA EN ESTE MUNDO, LA AMO

  • I especially like the part where they all screw up the staccatos and lose time in the 16th note runs!

  • I have this video on my list of favourites and play it often. It is sublime. I like a lot of blues and find that blues guitarists also show expression in their faces when they are playing harda just as Maki does whether playing hard or soft. Indicates the depth of feeling for the piece they are playing.

  • wow!! preciosa interpretacion!!!! gracias por esta musica. maestro antonio vivaldi!!por siempre.

  • This is the best musical composition ever written for strings, and these women do an excellent job of performing the piece.

  • Argh, the thing with string instruments is that they sound terrible unless they're played absolutely flawlessly. You can hear the tiniest mistakes. I suppose it's the exact opposite of distortion guitar.

    Oh, that's a string instrument. Well. It's not a 'real' one :p

(In before down-ratings: I play guitar.)

  • Perhaps they should have chosen a music whose composer was also a women... oh wait... :) Apart from this, still well played ;)

  • People!!! Need go to concerts to comment better xD

  • ...oh so divine. Just look at the interpretation in her face! <3

  • que agonia!

  • uma maravilha um dom de Deus mesmo

    parabéns

  • so what''s the deal with violins and Asians??

  • I still love it....and I still dont like the face expressions (God I hope I dont make weird face expressions when I am playing) I can't tell since I dont look at myself in the mirror when I play (well now that I say it maybe I should be practicing in the mirrir) shooot! lol

  • woooowwwww

  • Beautyful love it

  • That is absolutely the best rendition of Vivaldi's Winter! Brava!!!!

  • Epic face.

  • I really like this, thank you peter for posting this

  • Yes I agree great piece but scary facial expressions.

  • Comment removed

  • this is on of my favorites of Vivaldi, really gets the pinel gland, slushing in it own mess..lol

  • The Spalla, she have a really strange face and play without feelings, scares!

  • Women's Orchestra?!

  • 2:51 To the person that coughed thanks for fucking it up for everyone u rude bastard.

  • Pure beauty. I've been playing the violin for almost four years now and I still have much to work on. I absolutely love the Four Seasons. I don't think I'm there yet but hopefully I'll get there soon. Thanks for posting the video! :)

  • watch the faces she makes, absolutely hilarious

this song is best listened to after smoking a fat blunt

  • Magnifico

  • I love Vivaldi

  • Toll und wunderschoen!!! es macht mir traeumen!!!

  • eso es caracter!

  • litttle too sharp on that G at the end of the vid but very good

  • Excelente.

  • If only the entire world could be as passionate about something as she is. Absolutely awe inspiring.

  • The best version ever!

This girl is just a Goddess of violin...

  • Beautiful hair! Really!

  • @rybakostis Yeah, it's stunning!

  • @rybakostis i think she used Dove!!

  • it's like a water flowing down the streams rapidly but smoothly...you know hard to explain but this is such a genius! Very brilliant. The Vienna Phil.Orchestra members are all great that's why it's not doubting that Vienna Phil.Orch. is one of the finest in the world!right?

  • Dear 'Thecantabilviolin' this one is o.k for spending time and listening to this music then spending time with girl friends around The world....HAVE GOOD TIME PLEASE...THANKS FOR RESPONDING...jzpatelut...

  • one word: AMAZING

  • Flawless!

  • By the opposite, fella...... passion doesn't reminds electronics. And this -awesome, yes- girl does.

  • Too fast anyway....

  • at least with passion

  • you are good girl you are good., your playing is fluid, like water down a soft cascade, no abrupt sounds, no spurious sounds, it is a continuos flow perfectly modulated, it is remarkable to be a woman! I congratulate.

  • Isn´t Nigel always a little bit funky in classics ? I prefer authentic interpretation !

  • yeh, good point.

  • @Peter1945 yer! Nigel Kennedy a little punk..lol

  • @tjpob1 i love this version better, nigels playing seems a bit scratchy it doesnt really do the piece justice the way he plays it.

  • @tjpob1 Yeah, I like Nigel Kennedy's interpretation better.

  • @TheDarthTuber what i found Kennedy's lack the intensity and passionate element in Itoi!! Kennedy plays with perfect precision too, but lack of intensity. He's more like enjoying playing the chord, whereas Itoi is more like enjoying the story. I'd not discount him completely. both are great.

  • Respond to this video... i think she's comparable to Itzhak Perlman in this

  • @enkii82 Dear Enkii82, if you like to compare, do it. I take her as she is: Living love!

  • this is great.

  • Personally, I liked the bits where she played with the orchestra - not so much the solo bits - just that sense of unity and harmony was great.

  • Bravo!!

  • Sublim.

  • no sean malos, alguien me puede pasar este video? lo adoro con toda mi alma!!

  • I finally found it!!! The variation of Le Quattro Stagioni that has been eluding me for so long!!! Thank-you so much. I finally know who performs this piece the most beautifully and elegantly.

  • She does a wonderful interpretation of this complex piece. The effort that she exerts is commendable.

  • She really speaks through that violin though, doesn't she?

  • Thanks for your nice comment !

  • Magnífica, preciosa i espectacular interpretació d'una de les meves peces favorites. La Sra. Mako Ikoi ha estat sublim. Gràcies per compartir el vídeo.

    *****

Magnificent, beautiful and dramatic interpretation of one of my favorite pieces. Ms. Mako Ikoi has been sublime. Thanks for sharing the video.

  • Creo que Alesandrini las desmelenaria.Concertino excepcional, directora poco expresiva y temerosa.

  • nice... but im sorry the soloist does looks scary. but she plays fine though.. hah

  • O.O!

    HERMOSA ♥ !

  • her facial expesions are freaking hilarious.

  • I suppose it´s better for you to listen to CDs!

  • @Peter1945 i laughed so hard reading your comment. Great piece

  • @gpaese

I guess you don't play an instrument yourself, because then you'd know that you lose control over your face while playing emotionally; in this moment you don't know (and care) that you look different.

  • Comment removed

  • @gpaese she looked like she needed FIVE HOUR ENERGY! no reall thoug, she looked tired..... and funny.

  • I love this piece.

    wonderful music

  • dur ruth, aşkın karanlık yüzünde dur, öylece. hep. böyle dursun aşk her zaman hayatında. karanlık yüzünde dur aşkın, sus. tamamı buydu, de. bütün yavanlığıyla süren insanların kuytularında kal. orda kal. unut ruth, unut sen ben sürdürürüm kalan kısmını, hattın bu ucunu kervanlar ve sahrayla kendime de sana da ağlarım. sen sus ruth, sen konuşma, sen yavan hayata katıl

  • o god i hate when soloist moves like that.... :P

  • The soloist is so into it at some parts she looks almost uncomfortable, but man can she play. Every time I hear this my heart just races.

  • AWESOME! Antonio Vivaldi is my favorite classical composer. ^_^

  • that was badass! Man at the end I thought it was in fast forward or something she was moving so fast! Wicked good.
