Hey Lucas I'm looking to get the Sony NEX C3 and was wondering which lens to get with the camera, the 16mm or the zoom? I can't really afford both but just for regular everyday shooting and some video recording here and there which would be better?
@Bsaefong I would go with the 18-55mm because its a good all around lens and has image stabilization for video. The only down side is that it has poor low light performance when compared to the 16mm.

I am interested in slr quality in my pocket I have a couple of questions?
Will the sony nex 5 body attached to the 16mm pancake lens with lens cap fit into a trouser/ jeans pocket?
Do you think that a 16mm lens is good as an all round lens? I only want it if it could fit in my pocket.
your photos on your website I am impressed with the background blur. However there seems to be a lack of detail/sharpness on the subject , is there an in camera setting to increase sharpness?
@hairybearz No it will not fit into jean pockets. I would estimate its about 3 inches think. And yes there is sharpness adjustment in the camera. Also the images look better and sharper in their original form. The website photos I posted where downgraded in quality.
very cool macro lens!! i've got the kit lens only, but i love macro photography, so i'm considering this one. I also to a lot of time-lapse photography with my NEX 5. it would be cool to try some time-lapse with the macro lens, have you tried it? With the nex you gotta use a remote intervalometer for time-lapse. i use this one: tempus.bymac.org
it's a 41mm in full fream camera :)

very cool macro lens!! i've got the kit lens only, but i love macro photography, so i'm considering this one. I also to a lot of time-lapse photography with my NEX 5. it would be cool to try some time-lapse with the macro lens, have you tried it?
