I want to know why police don't enforce the laws when it comes to bicyclists. Nearly every state has a law requiring slower vehicles holding up traffic to either pull over or move to the far right to allow others to pass, yet this is never enforced regarding bicyclists. Most talk about maintaining the flow of traffic for safety, yet here is one of the biggest disruption to that. Bicyclists are also required to obey all traffic controls (stop signs, lights, etc), but here again police do nothing.

These cyclists are losers. They are mostly poor and cant afford to drive so they want to force the rest of us who didnt make make poor life choices to join their misery. They wont be satisfied until every human being is riding bicycles but that shit dont work here because its a big fat honking country - the life blood of communities is dependent on car traffic not some lonely cyclist.

No lights, no helmets etc. They think by default that they are the weaker force they would win in court but UMMM NO! You break the laws then you forfeit your right to sue. These cyclists are violating several laws. For example, Washington vehicle code (RCW 46.61.770, 1) says, "Every person operating a bicycle upon a roadway at a rate of speed less than the normal flow of traffic at the particular time and place shall ride as near to the right side of the right through lane as is safe except as may be appropriate while preparing to make or while making turning movements, or while overtaking and passing another bicycle or vehicle proceeding in the same direction."

bikes share the road with cars, so therefore they need to ride in a bike lane that the city has provided for them and obey all traffic laws, including stopping at stop signs and stopping at all red lights. if you don't believe it, then read the traffic manuals that you can get at your local DMV.

Actually, its the other way around. Bicycles and pedestrians have the right of way. If you are delayed for twenty seconds, its not the end of the world. Act like an adult!

@Kartracer6 AFAIK in Texas bicycles must adhere to the same rules as motor vehicles, rules may vary state to state.

@jesuriah It's the same here in Illinois. There are laws demanding Bikes and Peds yield right of way and there are laws demanding motorists yield right of way. I just found it interesting that guy said in Vancouver Motorists must always yield right of way.
