I think the music is appropriate, it's much better than screaming death metal garbage most people think is suspensful and fitting. The music here is just a little repetitive, that's all.

Other than that, Glowing_Amraam is a very talented guy indeed. Made me even more fueled to play the game (which I will in about 1 minute), although I have to put in more than enough work just learning the basics for now. :)

Yeah, I wish I had the time to spend hours learning the systems of a helicopter, but I have school and I get mixed up with school information and game information haha. Aviation is so fun to learn!
the musicc itself is a bit abused. we heard it over in over in every second musicvid. However the music in the credits compensates that one. Yet the editing of the video is flawless, and it creates war atmosphere. This is simply astonishing. Thanks GA!

@Simbirsk2130 Well for one, the coaxial rotor design is not new. 2, There are quite a few modern and not so modern helicopters that have blended fuselage. I.E. Eurocopter A350B3, Chinook, CH-53 Super Stallion and the CH-46 Sea Night to name a few. I when I was in the USMC, I was lucky enough to work on and fly in some of these A/C. Point being, counter rotation anti torque used by a tail rotor of fashion will be more maneuverable. Otherwise we'd see a WHOLE lot more coaxial Helicopters.
@Iamyurdaddy Kamov is practically the only company to have made production/non-experimental coaxial helicopters. as well for the last 50 years the number 1 cause of helicopter crashes in combat has been tail rotor damage.
And coaxial rotors produce much more thrust. I think it's more along the lines that no other company besides Kamov has been able to produce a good coaxial rotor helicopter.
@tarkinfish Uuuhhhhh... I'd say VERY arguably. DCS Black Shark is the best simulator i've ever flown, hands down, but the actual helo is an outdated relic. No nightfighting, no radar, no no multiple targeting etc... The Apache is lethal and has all of those things. The Blackhawk is a good bird (I'm a crew chief on one), but is not an attack helicopter so its like comparing apples and oranges.

Incorrect again. The Kamov's airframe gives it an edge in maneuverability and flight stability. It is also more armored (can withstand up to 20mm rounds) and can have its tail chopped off and nothing happens.
Do I have to remind you, what happens if an Apache loses its tail, which is not quite uncommon in combat?
However, an apache in a scenario where such maneuvers would save it's life is a misused longbow. The longbow's purpose is clearly NOT to be in a direct combat scenario due to it's far superior avionics package which includes Radar, Automatic Countermeasure Launch, Far superior networking capabilities to the KA-50 and a more advanced weapons payload.
To be honest, the Kamov-50 is a great airframe without a doubt. But I would prefer the Apache in a modern scenario.
@YOUSHOTME4S2 How do you know about the networking capabilities? Two Ka-50s with a Ka-29 target designator, have been sent to Chechnya in 2001. They have proved to be very efficient, and the Ka-50s could destroy many targets without even entering the fire range of terrorists. Even when using unguided rockets, which thankful to Ka-50s equipment and handling turned into a high-precision weapon. Something unthinkable for any other combat helicopter!
Arbalet is nose mounted. I do not agree with this positioning unless you are in a naval engagement because it still requires a pretty decent amount of loss of cover during an hillside unmasking it also denies the pilot the ability to hide a large portion of the airframe behind mountains. As I said though, this would be a VERY good option in a naval engagement rather than a conventional vs conventional ground operation.
The KA-50's network requires on of the choppers to designate the other. I will also testify the KA-50's maneuverability to it's brilliance in using unguided rockets in large salvos against ground targets. What I should have stated more clearly is that I would not employ this chopper in heavier engagements against more heavily armed opponents. However, the role of area pacification against those sort of forces in Chechnya is a perfect niche for this chopper.
At the same time though, the AH-64 has also been known to use large salvos of rockets fairly effectively. However, the range would probably be dependent on the rocket and not the chopper at significant ranges. It would require a bit more research to see which one is more effective at this task. Although that would be difficult to determine because of the way each army uses it's respective aircraft. What I do know is that most modern gunships have this "out of range" capability.
The Ka-50 is also not supposed to have a radar. It is, just like the AH-64A, to be guided by other aircraft. In Russia it is either a modified Ka-29, or a Ka-52, which is as combat capable as the Ka-50 already is.
In terms of maneuverability the Black Shark is unsurpassed as well. It can reach climb rates, with full weapons load of up to 30m/s!(as has been the case in Chechnya's mountains). It also has an ejection seat, and the pylons with anti-tank missiles can be elevated to targets angle.

Soon after I began very much to like the Apache, although my original conviction and argument are still to an extent there; Sure, the Apache is an extremely capable helicopter electronically, but there is no doubt that the KA-50/52 is many times (figuratively) more manoeuverable. I don't know enough about the systems tbh to back my claim to the 64 being superior electronically, perhaps it isn't... Anyway like I said ARGUABLY :]

@Iamyurdaddy Kamov is practically the only company to have made production/non-experimental coaxial helicopters. as well for the last 50 years the number 1 cause of helicopter crashes in combat has been tail rotor damage.
And coaxial rotors produce much more thrust. I think it's more along the lines that no other company besides Kamov has been able to produce a good coaxial rotor helicopter.

@tarkinfish Uuuhhhhh... I'd say VERY arguably. DCS Black Shark is the best simulator i've ever flown, hands down, but the actual helo is an outdated relic. No nightfighting, no radar, no no multiple targeting etc... The Apache is lethal and has all of those things. The Blackhawk is a good bird (I'm a crew chief on one), but is not an attack helicopter so its like comparing apples and oranges.

@decep3107 Dude, the Apache had its first flight back in 1976, while Ka-50, which was developed as an answer to it in 1982. So, it looks like the Apache is an "outdated relic", when compared to the Ka-50. In terms of airframe and its coaxial design, the Ka-50 by far surpasses both the Apache and the Mi-28 Havoc.
The Ka-50 also has a much higher level of automatisation than the Apache, allowing it to be operated by just one crew member. Nightfighting has been enabled in Ka-50SH and Ka-50N.

The Apache Longbow is light years ahead of the Ka-50 as far as avionics and weaponry, thus it can acquire and kill targets quicker and more efficiently.

@decep3107 The apache is not light years ahead of the Ka-50 in terms of anything, simply because it is not single seat(so it is NOT as automated and advanced), and its anti-tank missiles don't have a range of 10km. Also, the 30mm cannon from BMP-2 IFV on the Ka-50 has 4 times the accuracy of the Apache chain gun, because it is mounted near the helicopters center of mass.

Incorrect again. The Kamov's airframe gives it an edge in maneuverability and flight stability. It is also more armored (can withstand up to 20mm rounds) and can have its tail chopped off and nothing happens.
Do I have to remind you, what happens if an Apache loses its tail, which is not quite uncommon in combat?

However, an apache in a scenario where such maneuvers would save it's life is a misused longbow. The longbow's purpose is clearly NOT to be in a direct combat scenario due to it's far superior avionics package which includes Radar, Automatic Countermeasure Launch, Far superior networking capabilities to the KA-50 and a more advanced weapons payload.
To be honest, the Kamov-50 is a great airframe without a doubt. But I would prefer the Apache in a modern scenario.

@YOUSHOTME4S2 How do you know about the networking capabilities? Two Ka-50s with a Ka-29 target designator, have been sent to Chechnya in 2001. They have proved to be very efficient, and the Ka-50s could destroy many targets without even entering the fire range of terrorists. Even when using unguided rockets, which thankful to Ka-50s equipment and handling turned into a high-precision weapon. Something unthinkable for any other combat helicopter!

Arbalet is nose mounted. I do not agree with this positioning unless you are in a naval engagement because it still requires a pretty decent amount of loss of cover during an hillside unmasking it also denies the pilot the ability to hide a large portion of the airframe behind mountains. As I said though, this would be a VERY good option in a naval engagement rather than a conventional vs conventional ground operation.

The KA-50's network requires on of the choppers to designate the other. I will also testify the KA-50's maneuverability to it's brilliance in using unguided rockets in large salvos against ground targets. What I should have stated more clearly is that I would not employ this chopper in heavier engagements against more heavily armed opponents. However, the role of area pacification against those sort of forces in Chechnya is a perfect niche for this chopper.

At the same time though, the AH-64 has also been known to use large salvos of rockets fairly effectively. However, the range would probably be dependent on the rocket and not the chopper at significant ranges. It would require a bit more research to see which one is more effective at this task. Although that would be difficult to determine because of the way each army uses it's respective aircraft. What I do know is that most modern gunships have this "out of range" capability.

The Ka-50 is also not supposed to have a radar. It is, just like the AH-64A, to be guided by other aircraft. In Russia it is either a modified Ka-29, or a Ka-52, which is as combat capable as the Ka-50 already is.
In terms of maneuverability the Black Shark is unsurpassed as well. It can reach climb rates, with full weapons load of up to 30m/s!(as has been the case in Chechnya's mountains). It also has an ejection seat, and the pylons with anti-tank missiles can be elevated to targets angle.

Soon after I began very much to like the Apache, although my original conviction and argument are still to an extent there; Sure, the Apache is an extremely capable helicopter electronically, but there is no doubt that the KA-50/52 is many times (figuratively) more manoeuverable. I don't know enough about the systems tbh to back my claim to the 64 being superior electronically, perhaps it isn't... Anyway like I said ARGUABLY :]
