I can give the snare line some credit for being able to play a double stroke roll cleanly. A lot of MEAC sections can't even do that. Other than that, the rest of the show was 2 and 4 bullcrap.

Secondly I performed in that block,yes i was H.I.T.S.Q.U.A.D.'s first tonal player, and I recall that rumble machine setting the block up for themselves. Our line was like 37 deep and they pinned us in a corner, cause you knew what would have gone down. Ya'll had like 15 people with dumb room, but i must say even with that little bit of room we still whooped ass. and no we didnt run, Our director told us to pack it up cause we had to get back to baltimore tp prepare for a real band. But nice try
First being a member of H.S. since 02, rumble machine has stepped it up and come along way. Those guys finally have tonal basses and semi chops. But to say these guys are great and comaparing them to Cold Steel is just plan dumb. They haven't got to that level just yet.
I marched at VSU between 88 and 91, these guys are good but the thunder machine that we blocked against back in the day had a lot more funk and style, not to mention they had some serious outfits to go with those gold plated drums.
I was actually there for this show. Not that it matters due to total unimportance, but why wasn't morgan state's block put on display so everyone can see how Howard REALLY spanked DAT ASS?!

It is way better from the old howard.They stepped up a whole lot.Glad to see them getting better.I played snare for VSU and they are still not on our level.I graduated from Dunbar in DC by the way.I live a block from Howard and their line is not the same line in the video.And why when Norfolk comes to town they don't have that same hype.Band and mostly the percussion section.

IMHO, I'll say BCC and MDFS are tops right now in the MEAC. I like where TM is headed. I like VSU in the CIAA. 2007 is a new year, so we'll see who'll shine.

First being a member of H.S. since 02, rumble machine has stepped it up and come along way. Those guys finally have tonal basses and semi chops. But to say these guys are great and comaparing them to Cold Steel is just plan dumb. They haven't got to that level just yet.

I marched at VSU between 88 and 91, these guys are good but the thunder machine that we blocked against back in the day had a lot more funk and style, not to mention they had some serious outfits to go with those gold plated drums.

It is way better from the old howard.They stepped up a whole lot.Glad to see them getting better.I played snare for VSU and they are still not on our level.I graduated from Dunbar in DC by the way.I live a block from Howard and their line is not the same line in the video.And why when Norfolk comes to town they don't have that same hype.Band and mostly the percussion section.

IMHO, I'll say BCC and MDFS are tops right now in the MEAC. I like where TM is headed. I like VSU in the CIAA. 2007 is a new year, so we'll see who'll shine.

Ok where is Howard University and what have y'all done with them?!? I mean wow... they use to SUCK very badly when it came to Thunder Machine. But now it's like night & day. Last time I saw y'all was 05 and you guys were clean for the most part but not playing anything worth listening to.
Now I'm impressed. The snares were very clean. And the BD's were nice and smooth. Keep up the good work Howard. You're no longer the laughing stock of MEAC drumlines.
