100 watt dsl has more clean headroom on first green channel....i own the 50 watt version which is very nice & powerful but with a band you are putting the clean channel up at least to 6 or 7.......

Boogie always sounds thin n fuzzy, and is way way overpriced. Marshall always has the growl and voice of rock n roll

@divgtrslingr You need to learn how to use mesa boogies my friend, most people dont, they aren't an amp that you dial in on day 1 or day 100 for that matter, a constant work in progress, which can be said for any quality tube amp but for boogies it holds true. They aren't user friendly amps, it takes time to learn them and use them to their full potential, don't let a quick sit down and play or this shitty video tell you otherwise

I think is better, for this comparison, that DSL have the "clean-crunch" switch of clean channel set to "crunch" and low gain amount because in "clean" mode the amp response is with a even mid-cut, so that this kind of comparison, to my humble opinion, coud be done with a similar voicing about these two amps.

would you reccomend the marshall jcm 2000 dsl 50w...is there any difference between it and the dsl 100w?...thanks

Have not tried the DLS 100 so I am not sure what other differences exit other than the obvious wattage ratings. Anyone?

@bjornkom The difference is major :). Its sounds a lot better! Has lot more attack and all the shit :) It is an amazing british sound and everyone its looking for it . I think this is the perfect amp ever made and its easy to handle it,not complicated controls and stuff like this. I have 2 of those monsters amp in my studio. But,what i dont like on Marshall JCM2000 DSL 100 (and maybe 50 too) its the lamps,they are burning fast. So...if you dont know how to use it,the lamps are fucked :).
