sad to c a such a kid full of life gone sad rest in peace mate i just found info on u and must say u was very good at what u did unlucky rest in peace mate
Please keep these videos up for not only his memories, but the inspirations, for other kids, and adults to set goals. And to show if you really believeand love in what you do. Anything is possible.
Wish my parents had been willing to back me on this. I'm 19 now and probably too old for this to ever become something more than a hobby... Life isn't measured by how long it is but by what you do with the time you have... Lucky little man, got to do what he loved...
It's really sad that's he's dead now because he could of been the best rider of our years to come but unfortunately he's passed on :,( but atleast hopefully in the future that there will probably be another gifted kid out there coming throught the ranks just like peter and until then I will try with inspiration peter has given me to be better at my riding RIP peter
Racing was in Peter's blood, something that he wanted to do, no doubt about it and noone can take that out of him just like me racing, everybody can try pushing me away from racing but it will never work. God gave us a natural talent and it encourages us to live the life he gave us. Unlike some teens, Peter and I wanted to race instead of going out to movies, or playing an athletic sport like football. I remember him everyday in my life and of the smile he had. FOREVER 45!!!!
I think I noticed Joe Roberts twice in this video. Looked like him standing next to Peter behind the interviewer in the blue t-shirt. The second time he was holding a trophy as Peter was standing up to claim his own award. I know Joe was riding next to Peter and saw Peter fall. How is the "Wild Thing" is doing? In the interview he gave hours after the accident it seemed that the reality of Peter's loss had not yet registered. Joe is even more adorable than Peter if such a thing is possible.
Only one thing bothers me. After the 2009 accident Peter's father said that Peter had been riding a 14 year old bike with multiple age related maintenance issues. Peter should have had a factory fresh bike in perfect working order. A new bike might have saved him from the 2009 accident. If I had known that then I would have been happy to contribute to a 2009 model.
i'm glad that peter had a chance in his life to do what he loved it breaks my heart to know that he is gone so young bet he will live on in the hearts of people that loved him
RIP... Peter has inspired me and I hope that when I have kids I have the means to allow them to pursue racing, or whatever their hearts desire. Condolences to his family & friends. He hasn't died, simply transitioned to another track awaiting all of you.
I personally dont agree with people saying he was too young. He was handling the bike like a pro! How many kids can a handle a bike at the age of 5, let alone a motorized one! As a fellow racer, I know that there are restrictions based on the rider. RACING IS DANDEROUS, regardless of machine! I'm sure Peter knew that as did his parents. I race alot of different machines from race cars to race karts! Everything has its own dangers. Peter lived life to the fullest, and he will be deeply missed.
@padrak18 it is 100% dependent on the person. Peter was not the "norm". His mental capacity and grasp far exceeded that of one his age, he understood. There are many folks out there that don't. But the speed isn't the issue, straight-line speed means little. More important is the interaction with other riders. Knowing to keep the eyes up track to notice shifts in body-position, attack angle of riders, the sound of the bikes in front of you, notice the signs... these are what matter.
@padrak18 The facts are that Peter, as well as the other riders, are very well trained, and are very safety oriented. I have heard Child Development Specialist keep saying that, "Normal kids at this age aren’t fully developed and they don't have the maturity level to make sound decisions." But these talented young men and women are extremely mature for their age and they are fully aware of what is going on and the potential dangers that are associated with this wonderful sport.
@Dovid2000 In the end it's still a subjective opinion of what one views as a risky activity compared to another. As Ayrton Senna once said (not literally) people have different perception of risk and limits. I'm pretty sure most motorsport drivers and riders realize the risk and are willing to take it. Besides, who's to say how life is meant to be lived, whether you have to reach old age or not. Only God knows and I suppose it's different for everyone out there. RIP Peter.
@hristoitchov When you say, "Who's to say how life is meant to be lived, whether you have to reach old age or not," there is some truth to this statement. Every man has been alloted so many number of days in this life. There is also an old Hebrew proverb which says:
"The feet of man are surety for him."
(i.e., if it has been decreed in Heaven that a man must die at a certain place, his feet will see to it that he gets there.)
R.I.P little man! you lived my dream you were an amazing talent!!! my heart go's out to to the family! no words can ease the pain! 13 is too soon.. so sorry!
who is anyone to judge his parents.. my god there flesh and blood is dead there son can you even imagine the hurt they are going through and yet the vultures are out pointing fingers and blaming people...his parents loved him so much they let him do what he loved so dearly..would you stop your child from reaching there potential.. we cant all win x factor or americas got talent some of us have different gifts and would be a sin against our creator and nature not to use them.. god bless you pete
It's hypocrisy when people admire grown-up successful bike riders and racing drivers, but forget most of them have something in common - they started out very young! That's how it works... RIP Peter.
People talking about risks they don't understand... The kid loved riding motorcycles and that's what counts. It's always a calculated risk. Heck, if you want to avoid death you should lock yourself up in a room and not doing anything because there's risk in any activity. You're delusional if you think bike racing is much too dangerous - there are millions of riders doing it daily and fatal accidents are extremely rare these days because safety is of high standards.
Persistence, determination, integrity, passion, commitment- Peter displayed all of these qualities making him the champion that he was. The passing of Peter is a tragic loss to the motorcycle / superbike community. Peter died doing what he loved and inspired us all. Never forget!

RIP little man and Godspeed!
Sincere sympathy to the Lenz family- you are in my heart, thoughts, and prayers!
Do not disrepect the parents or family of Peter Lenz. They were supporting their child. Samething my dad and mom did. I wanted to play soccer so they provided me every opportunity to make it big. Soccer was what I was truly passionate about. This video shows Peter loved racing motorcycles. If you dont get that look at his pictures in his facebook profile. The kid had the most beautiful smile. Have some respect for the family, Unbelievable that some of these comments have been made. RIP
Peter Lenz, a true Champion, with skill, devotion and determination has won the hearts of so many. Rest In Peace. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
RIP Little Man. I am a rider as well as a mother of a 3 and 4 yr old. If they came to me today and said "Mommy, I want to ride", I would say, "Let's do it". Fear should NEVER hold you back from your goals. Fear should NEVER stop you from success. All of you people who are bashing this family after their loss really need to get a life. This kid was not on drugs, he was not selling drugs. He was not a wanna be thug.. he loved this and his parents understood. You will forever be remembered. <3
Sucks to lose such a great kid. Condolences to his family and friends. I just hope this doesn't affect the parents of other kids and decide to pull them out against their will. You could see it in his eyes he loved racing. For those that trow his parents under the bus, I hope you use a condom and never have kids because they will probably miserable. Godspeed Peter.
RIP PL45. The world has lost it's next big star adnd no one will be able to replace him. Peter died doing what he loved to do and that's all that really matters. These haters do not understand the sport of motorcycle racing . Prayers sent to the Lenz family and everyone else affected by the loss of Peter.
This Kid really touch my heart...I heard about Peter yesterday and made me rush home from work to hugs my kids.. my condolences to the family and friends.....
femsual - Very mature response. Did your mom teach you how to use those pet names?
-
A young boy has died doing something he loves and you have the nerve to post your stupid comments on here? Show a little respect and go find somewhere to play. This isn't the place.
What an amazing Kid Peter was. He Definitely had the racing spirit in him and it shined through!! R.I.P. Peter!! Prayers and Condolences to the Lenz family
@femsual saw your own stupidity and removed comment, good for you!
Stick to handbags, as "adult activity". Everything is dangerous, relatively speaking, see the stats for death from everyday house accidents, they exceed road crash death in some 1st world countries. People die all the time just crossing the road - riding on the track is relatively free of danger unless a freak accident occurs, and there is always and ambulance on stand-by - I'll sabotage your website if you keep talking shit!
Your a $#^%ing Idiot so you telling me if your kid falls of the curb walking and breaks something you better keep him inside or someone slips going down the stairs in your house you better move into a ranch home. Think before you say something or you just sound like an ass
@elvishitler i was racing at that age. It's not the crash that kills you it's the sudden stop or acelleration. and theres nothing to hit out there. most of the time you just slide. He crashed and was O.k. when he got hit by another bike. Anyway he chose to go back, i've chose to go back after bad wrecks. almost everyone will. It's to much fun. It IS worth the the risk. listen to the last sentance he said in this video!
Added note to all, pro Motocross racers for the most start at the age of 4.
@bgywstu News flash dumbass. 99.9% of the top motorcycle racers in the world started racing as young as Peter was. Get educated before making ignorant comments.
@femsual Let me guess....you also probably believe that guns are bad and have no other purpose than killing people too, right?
How old are if you don't mind me asking? Are you one these "absolute safety" minded people that don't understand what calculated risk is? Do you live your life in a bubble? You are pathetic and spineless. You will die with a lot of regret. This I can promise you.
@femsual Jumping off a bridge will almost surely kill you. Racing a motorcycle is quite different. It is a risk but it's a calculated one. The chances of surviving unharmed are much greater than getting hurt or killed. That's not opinion but historical fact. Sometimes one has to risk life in order to live it. I'm sorry that you can't understand that but that doesn't make it crazy or untrue. Peter raced because he loved it. Most of us won't have the fortune to die doing what we love.
@bgywstu your an idiot. if your kid loved something so much regardless of what it is, you would support it. you and wendy murphy need to shut the fuck up about him being too young and shit. cuz in the end, all of us roadracers would killed to have started racing at his age.
RIP Peter Lenz, and to his dad...... fuck all the haters
@nagulia I am with ya man, haven't been racing yet just TD's but plan to be in a couple years...Peter Lenz was an amazing kid/rider...got passed by him at a TD and man it was awesome, and he was gone lol
all of those riders should be honored to have been passed by a kid with such talent. peter you will always be remembered and now a legend in many minds RIP
RIP peter such a tragic loss...take a lifetime before his time...
@ 3:23-3.26 "I can't stay away from motorcycle racing" his words and the look on his face you can tell that nothing would have kept him from doing the thing he loved most.
Peter lived more and got more out of life than many people who live much, much longer. I am sure he would have been something great. God speed little brother. From a former motorcycle road racer with 15 years experience.
Rest In Piece bro, your racers were amazing and you were taken to early!
People stop complaining and blaming the parents and Americans this has nothing to do with race, children start racing mx when they are 5 and move into road racing if they wish! you can clearly tell he was passionate about racing so leave him and his family alone! Everyone knows the dangers of motor sport and everyone knows champions are born and start out young its a shame his death is being over shadowed by negativity.
@snekugle where do people like like you crawl out off? This was a freak accident, just like freak accidents happen in many other sports/activities - horseriding, bmx, walking up trails from botanical gardens - like the 14 year old U.S. tourist that fell to his death just before Football World Cup in Cape Town, when out with his family.
@femsual This was a freak accident, just like freak accidents happen in many other sports/activities - horseriding, bmx, walking up trails from botanical gardens - like the 14 year old U.S. tourist that fell to his death just before Football World Cup in Cape Town, when out with his family - a very adult activity!!!
We lost a great rider and a great human being. He had such unbelievable joy in his eyes when riding, and even if he was just talking about riding. He will be missed by many.
@magnetpi21 wow... you idiot... first of all the family is having a hard time already and you wanna be a jerk...
i've said this before already to another guy... don't insult what you don't understand...
would you rather he live his life knowing he could've pursued something he loved and did it for a living but his parents didn't let him cause they were too scared?
I have a friend whose dad does that... he could've been good but his dad was too scared to let him ride...
FIrst of all to make it in this sport you have to start young... younger than 10...
Peter loved this... he loved every second of this... this was his passion and it would have broken his heart if he wasn't allowed to do what he knows he was born to do...
The parents knew the risks... peter knew the risks... every racer does...
I'd rather be an irresponsible parent than to deprive my son of his passion...
seen him race before cant beleave he is no longer here he will truly be missed not only by family but friends & fans as well i dont know when he pasted exactly but to the family i know words dont help at a time like this but i just want you to know you our in our thoughts and prayers i was in this situation just a few mo's ago & best thing i can say is-- time will heal all wounds but the scar will last forever
even at 23 i have no problem saying this kid had more ability on a bike than i can hope to get in a long time!

@elvishitler
Your a $#^%ing Idiot so you telling me if your kid falls of the curb walking and breaks something you better keep him inside or someone slips going down the stairs in your house you better move into a ranch home. Think before you say something or you just sound like an ass
kiknme 1 year ago
@elvishitler i was racing at that age. It's not the crash that kills you it's the sudden stop or acelleration. and theres nothing to hit out there. most of the time you just slide. He crashed and was O.k. when he got hit by another bike. Anyway he chose to go back, i've chose to go back after bad wrecks. almost everyone will. It's to much fun. It IS worth the the risk. listen to the last sentance he said in this video!
Added note to all, pro Motocross racers for the most start at the age of 4.

@femsual Whatever you may say it gives me comfort to know you're in the minority when it comes to how people feel about this. :)
a2birdcage 1 year ago
@bgywstu News flash dumbass. 99.9% of the top motorcycle racers in the world started racing as young as Peter was. Get educated before making ignorant comments.
a2birdcage 1 year ago
@femsual Let me guess....you also probably believe that guns are bad and have no other purpose than killing people too, right?
How old are if you don't mind me asking? Are you one these "absolute safety" minded people that don't understand what calculated risk is? Do you live your life in a bubble? You are pathetic and spineless. You will die with a lot of regret. This I can promise you.
a2birdcage 1 year ago 3

@snekugle you ignorant fool...
