Ok, the screaming's annoying but everyone getting upset about the crowd singing along needs to get a life. Kudos to the Decemberists for writing a song and performing it in a way that breaks down the wall between performer and audience - now that's punk rock! (Or is it real folk? Both, really). If you want a perfect vocal performance go listen to the album version, and butt out of a special moment of communication between the band and the fans that were there.

It really wasn't like that at the show. The camera just didn't pick up the sound so well. The crowd was just too much for the microphone. In reality it wasn't so loud. I don't know why this clip got this popular.
