  • I like Joe lynn better than Dio, with all due respect to Ronnie James (RIP) I got fed up with those songs about castles, dragons and that medieval crap.

  • the thing is is that in ways i think the dio era is better but then again i do get bored of it quite quickly because his voice gets the same a bit i think its like that for long live rock n roll but not 1, 2, but then i think the joe lyn turner era is pretty bad down to earth and difficult to cure terrible albums straight between the eyes amazing and bent out of shape is ok,

  • My trinity. Blackmore, Lynch, Dime. They all bow down to Sir Ritchie!

  • Not one of the easiest Blackmore riffs to play (the chorus part), but he makes it look easy - effortless. Brilliant.

  • from 4:33 starts hey joe

  • How on earth does someone say " I m a huge Rainbow fan and NOT know this song. Its 27 years old!!!!!!

  • there is a new band formed by Joe Lynn Turner and some other former Rainbow members called Over The Rainbow with Ritcie's son Jurgen(sorry if i misspelled your name) on guitar!!!!

    COME BACK TO ROCK RITCHIE!!!!!

  • Joe accidentally hits Roger with his microphone stand.

  • Anyone know Anya from the Battle Rages On album by Deep Purple. Ritchie seems to have used the opening riff again...

  • @sticktodrums I thought the same when i heard said track!

  • I'll probably get flamed for saying so, but I like the line up with Dio so much better.

  • same old feeling hits me again

  • what things were

after ritchie fired gillan and glover of deep purple, years later blackmore got glover again

  • Holy S%^T!! This is amazing!!!I am a HUGE Rainbow/JLT fan. I knew this existed but have never seen it, nor heard it. I think at this point the band knew Ritchie and Roger were going back to DP. This should have been a live album on it's own, not a live comp. like Final Vinyl (which was great). Thank You Rainbow301. Just saw JLT in July with guys from Orleans, Elton John, and Pablo Cruise. Great show!! I am seeing JLT again this week in Newburgh NY at the Hudson River. Can't Wait!!

  • It seems the only time you really see Blackmore having fun on stage is in his Rainbow days and when he was playing with Turner, a great line up and I would love to see a reunion of this lineup.

  • My favourite music style is thrash metal, without any doubt, on which there are lots of killer guitarists. But I still consider Blackmore the BEST guitarist ever!!!

  • seems like they are rushing thier songs,, singing them too fast. slow down Joe.

  • great

  • Stranded is one of the best Rainbow song. I love the entire album!

  • WOW!!!!

    Rainbow is GREAT!!!!

The quality of this video are very good! Where you find the show?

    Share it for us!

  • It's from the "Live at Budokan" DVD, the last show they did with this line-up and in over ten years.

  • Thank you, rainbow301! Where did you get this 'Live 1984 Budokan' show? Is it still available? I saw Rainbow live in '84, at the Worcester Centrum, Worcester, MA, USA. Loudest show ever; my ears rang for *three* days...could not hear the person sitting beside me during the show! NJ's Joe Lynn Turner was my fav Rainbow singer; powerful voice, good range, underrated. Nice excerpt of 'Hey Joe' too.
