Covering up the his less than average playing with distractions and gimmicks. Last I checked a solo incorporated all the drums, not just high hat, snare and bass, hence just keeping a beat. This guy is waaaay overrated from a drumming standpoint. Entertainer? Sure, I guess. Great drummer? Not even close. But I still like listening to the Crue. Don't get me wrong. Aside from Mick Mars, there's a serious lack of talent, and that says a lot. But it works!!
