Yes,it is,just be rich enough to buy it... I started out on a $40 '86 Ukrainian piece of sh*t nylon-string, then I bought my acoustic, a $200 Chinese Squier, which I'm quite satisfied with (though far from the sound of Guilds/Martins),then a $400 Indonesian Strat which doesn't match the Chinese acoustic in quality :(

About American guitars I can only dream when I'm in Berlin,here in Hungary they don't sell sh*t. Though I'm in love with the American Deluxe Fat Strat and the '57 Les Paul Goldtop.
