  • Well done.

It moves well and you covered a whole host of scifi material.

    Good job.

  • years ago my cousin got a hold of Star Trek: The Motion Picture & added scenes & sounds to make Star Wrek: the commotion picture. She showed it at local cons, but never post it for fear of copyright laws.

  • whats the name of the show at 0:12?

  • Its from the movie Galaxy Quest. Its also used at :29.

  • it's from farscape

  • This is not only a tribute to Fireball XL5

But also a tribute to some of the best Scifi

on TV and movies. Also brings back some special memories Thanks for those memories.

  • Hi Can anybody confirm that Craig Douglas brought this record out in Britain to coincide with the television series. Did like this tune when I was a young boy

    Cheers Steve

  • The singer is Don Spencer, who is Australian. Don also co-presented Play School some decades ago. As far as I know, Craig Douglas never did a verson of this song. Hope that clears p any mystery for you!

BTW, I also love "Fireball XL5" song!

    Annie :D

  • Okay don't ask me why but I LIKED THIS.

Something like this needs to be seen in cinemas, squeezed in with the trailers.

    Do more!

  • run to the building tarrace, adjust the antennas, tune into DD II & there you are... i wish i was a space man the fastes guy alive..... i wud fly you on the universe on fireball XL5.....

  • very clever & DIFFERENT!,I heard a cd with an additional lyric of Fireball, guessit was too long!,1 line goes-''i'm a guy, with both feet on the ground''.

  • Very clever! Nicely done.

  • (take a look at my vids for my Fireball XL5 episode and my similar soundtrack usage of 'Adventures of Superman'!

  • Love it! Not only someone remembers XL5, but a great montage of my fav clips, even Forbidden Planet! Good job syncing the scenes chosen to the words.

  • I loved the thunderbirds as a kid(and still do i guess)

but never saw XL5, I first heard the song on the movie

Love Honor and Obey, (look for Sean Pertwee singing it on You Tube if you havent seen it yet). I wandered around the house singing it one morning and my 5yo son picked it up

Now its his favourite song, Thanks for this clip, its brilliant and my son will love it.

  • Just great work. XL5 was the spark for my then 7 year old imagination. It was the best time for Saturday morning TV in my opinion!! I recently bought the full DVD box set. Get it if you haven't. Thanks for this homage to Barry Gray's song

  • I loved then when XL5 was in black and white on a convex screen and I love this short film now. Bring on the badest puppet in the universe Captain Scarlet or should it be Black

  • Oh man, that video was great.

  • Oh man... that song brings back memories...

  • Makes you feel like a kid again don't it!
