My Great Uncle Mitchell passed away a year ago from this day January 18,2011 and this song was sang at his funeral and I still cry because I miss him so much. I never got to tell goodbye and how much I love him. I had just seen him a week before he passed and it just broke my heart.

@musician3125 Many people want to know what happened to Rev. Paul Jones. He was murdered at the tender age of 30 in 1990. He was at home when late one night about 2 men came to the door and knocked. It has been said that he knew one of the men that knocked on the door.
@musician3125 They pushed their way in and shot him three times. He was shot in the back, butt and and back of the head. After they shot him to death they robbed him. They took his car, his jewelry and the money that they found.
@musician3125 The men did get caught a few days later and went to trial and were supposed to be put to death but because they didn't have sufficient evidence and one of the jurors were doing something that wasn't appropriate as a juror the trial was a mistrial. The men were given a plea bargain of 20 years. They were able to get out after 5 years.

This song is a fortification for my soul. Whenever I listen to this song, I can feel the holy spirit come in and comfort me and it leaves me in tears. Wonderful song.

I love this song. I sing it every morning and night in the shower. It seems the more i listen to it or sing it. the better my day is. My love and prayers go out to the Jones family. I thank God for today 06/15/1970. I arose suddenly and looked at the clock and it was 1:00am and I started shouting because God allowed me to see another year. The Spirit of Lord "dropped" this song in my spirit. I thank God for I should have been dead when I was 2 days old and when I was 18 and so on. i was told that i didnt really know the word of GOD because i had gay friends and i posted that , only GOD could change a person . well to the person who sent the message to me . i still say only GOD can change a person, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOD. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and homosexuality is a sin against GOD, but who are we to judge, or job is to go into the world and preach and teach the gospel to the sinners.

I'm a white girl, and the first time i heard this song was when i was 16, and this is the first version and the only version (of this song) that has stayed in my heart thru the years; And I am now 23. this is really a blessing for me to find this song again.!!! There's not a time I listen to this song and don't cry. As a senior in college, I have my share of struggles and obstacles. Having worked in non-profits and with disadvantaged children, I realized the problems I thought I had don't even compare. Thank you Lord for being there for me. This song was sang at the Funeral by a Close Friend of the Family and my Grandmother NEVER COMPLAINED!!! I LOVE THIS SONG!!! Rev Paul Jones you are truly heaven sent. Thank you... @musician3125 Many people want to know what happened to Rev. Paul Jones. He was murdered at the tender age of 30 in 1990. He was at home when late one night about 2 men came to the door and knocked. It has been said that he knew one of the men that knocked on the door.

@musician3125 They pushed their way in and shot him three times. He was shot in the back, butt and and back of the head. After they shot him to death they robbed him. They took his car, his jewelry and the money that they found.

@musician3125 The men did get caught a few days later and went to trial and were supposed to be put to death but because they didn't have sufficient evidence and one of the jurors were doing something that wasn't appropriate as a juror the trial was a mistrial. The men were given a plea bargain of 20 years. They were able to get out after 5 years.
