  • What a great video. Thank you for sharing. I've never thought of bran for smoothies. I've used whole flaxseed, but nothing thicker than that. my favorites are OJ, fresh strawberries and pineapples (cleaned and frozen on my own) w/ a packet of stevia. I'm going to add more greens and fiber. Great idea!

  • Thank you so much, am so excited to try this smoothie. Am sure with healthy habits like yours, i will finally be able to lose some weight

  • oh my, I see you already use flax! :)....disregard my first comment

  • Hey, Can I suggest also using ground flax seed as one of your fiber sources? It's also a plant based source of Omega fatty acids. and typically 1-3 Tbsp's daily are very beneficial.

  • If you really want to boost the energy toss in a banana. They give you an extra boost no coffee needed.

  • @Tisiphani I totally agree! I just made a green smoothie with a banana in it about 2 hours ago and I'm still super energized.

  • @Tisiphani ooooweeee!!! Ill post another this weekend....I have a surprise one in store...hope it's good!

  • orange juice helps sweeten smoothies and gives it a nice tart taste.

  • I used different fruit(berry medley-walmart), different cereal(uncle sam toasted whoe wheat berry flakes and flaxseed- 40% of daily fiber, and I add 1 carrot...Love it...thanks for this vid!

  • Almond Milk is the BOMB seriously, love, love, love it, no after taste at all!

  • We love smoothies in our home. We get fresh produce from the local farmers market every Thursday, so we're ALWAYS making smoothies. And you're so right about all the things you can put in them. Most of the seeds and oils and powders we put in ours you can't even taste them. They do tend to make them a weird color sometimes though LOL

  • for you ladies that would like to make a quick single serving smoothie- you may want to visit your local walmart's college aisles because they have a hamilton beach single serving smoothie blender with a detachable travel cup for $12!!

  • Great healthy idea for nourishing your hair and body from the inside! I love spinach too. I was researching flaxseed and was wondering how to incorporate this into my diet to get health benefits beside salad toppings. So Thank you!

  • im going to try this but use almond milk instead....it tastes great!!!

  • bought some spinach today!!! :-D

  • U should give us a tour of your place : )

  • I have that same blender, most of those ingredients, but I am still here sitting on my butt watching videos :-/

  • that is a wonderful smoothie idea. I'm gonna try orange juice instead of the sugar for sweetness.

  • love the new intro/post vid arrangement!

  • Thank you very much. It is a wonderful idea!

  • I usually try mine with dry oatmeal, that helps in keeping you full longer. Just a suggestion. You may like it :) Enjoyed the video.

  • Adding the cereal was something new for me...but it makes sense, you'll be fuller long by doing so. That's a great tip! Thanks!

  • Mum is down this summer and was wondering "is it at the back (on the wall) a map of guadeloupe?" Lovely healthy vid. many thanks. peace too

  • I'm not sure how healthy this can e with processed food and sugar as the base. I haven't had sugar in years, and I try to stay clear of processed foods.I font think I'll be trying this but I did enjoy the video anyway!!

  • have u tried stevia or agave nectar its real good for u and it not made from sugar and a lot of raw dieters use it

  • Thanks for a great smoothie recipe. I've seen recipes with raw oatmeal but never cereal! Genius! I will try one this weekend.

  • instead of rice milk what are your thought on Almond Milk?

  • Love this type of video! And it actually doesn't look too bad; though I've yet to try rice milk and those calories were adding up to were it would have to serve as a meal replacement. I will try it with maybe frozen strawberries and blueberries plus the flax and bran cereal, and even some spinach, except I'll use almond milk, since I already have that.

  • I think I will try that out..thanks BBBD

  • I don't know if I can do a smoothie, I drink green juice daily though.

    nice video!

  • WOW! I would have never thought to put brand cereal in my smoothie! This is GREAT! I

  • Honey is great. Also try Stevia as another alternate natural sweeter. Much better for you than the white processed sugars.

  • Funny I drink my smoothies from my "fancy" glass with straw!

  • That looked good. When I make blueberry and banana smoothie's but I never think to put spinach in it. I will try it next time. Thanks.

  • Cereal in the smoothie! That's why I'm subscribed to this channel!

  • Great Recipe! Why don't you try sweetening with honey or brown sugar? I think its a healthier then the white sugar.

  • very interesting lol! we need to start getting healthy....besides a hair journey, it should be "HEALTH JOURNEY"

  • so do the cereal replace the whey protein. I am looking for something that is not that expensive.

  • It's best to put liquids in first....so it won't get stuck

  • This is a great idea! I have made yogurt smoothies for the longest post workout. But this is a much better version. THANKS!

  • YAY FOR THE WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE!!

  • Can you do a tutorial for the hair in this video?

  • Great idea for breakfast smoothie,,,just have to prep the night before but I will be trying this. Can you sub this for a dinner too? Some times I get home late and dont want to eat something heavy.

  • I find that adding a banana (peeled and freezed in saran wrap) sweetens my smoothie without having to add sugar. My favorite recipe is with frozen banana, mangoes, almond milk and spinach - it's quite delicious.

  • thanks, I'm going to try cereal in my smoothie.

  • I may just try with just the fruit and spinach and low fat or 2 % milk

  • Hey girl! I just started doing smoothies not too long ago and I tried hemp milk which has less carbs than rice and is rich in omega 3 &6 and it tastes soo good!

  • I love creating my own smoothies!! I've never tried putting spinach in them, though. I usually like to pre-freeze some strawberries and mile and then throw it into a blender. Maybe next time I'll have some cereal with it!

  • GIIIIIIIIIIRL you just read my mind! today i spent the entire day researching recipies for smoothie and juicing. i actually freeze my own fruit because its cheaper and i use greek yogurt instead of the almond milk. but im in love with this video! i hope this inspires people.

  • Hi, I am wondering if the rice milk can be replaced with water? Maybe it will reduce the calories? Hmm.. but that might not go over well with the cereal:)

  • Low fat diets increases your risk of depression. Your body needs fat to absorb the fat soluble minerals, so I don't understand why most ppl are obsessed with low fat and non-fat products. Fat is an essential macro-nutrient, as long as it is consumed no more than 30% of your daily calories, roughly.

  • I love you! you are soooo cute and have very helpful tips and videos <3

  • Great smoothie BBBD....thanks for the tips ...I really need to consider joining the weight loss challenge ...ive really let myself go over the past two years...poor diet , stress and no exercise ...a pathway to disaster ... thanks for the encouragement . also may I suggest Turbinado , or Rock sugar as your sugar sub. all natural products . Stevia is ok but it can be overpowering at times as well as expensive. peace and blessings .

  • okay.... I can do this. I would probably drink it for breakfast or lunch. I remember once I saw a nutritionist and she asked me about do I drink smoothies I told her yeah with my meals she laughed and was like noooo as a meal...lmbo oh well you learn better you do better..waiting on the challenge I'm ready. Thaks

  • Yay!! More recipe vids like this please!!! :-)

  • Have you ever blended your smoothie at night and drank the next morning. I was wondering how well it stores over night???

  • I made my first fruit juice this morning with mango, pineapples, strawberries and peaches with coconut water and ground flax seed...I might try the spinach tomorrow

  • Looks really good! Have to try that! Thx for the tip!

  • Nice idea with frozen fruit I make mine with water less calories and taste doesn't suffer...also for sweetness I add agave nectar which is also natural...adding protein is also great if used as a meal replacement.

  • Great video thank you for sharing. Please do more videos like this. I like to put oatmeal in my smoothie. Take care

  • I thought about doing some kind of cleanse since I'm trying not to crave artificial sugar a lot so I'm thinking about doing a smoothie cleanse and try honey, cinnamon, brown sugar and/or almond milk for a sweetener and I'll let you know how that goes! <3 it

  • @MarshaPierceTomlin I will try almond milk ASAP!!! Ive had it on cereal before! Thanks chica!

  • @BeautifulBrwnBabyDol I was going to mention this. Almond milk has less calories too. I think the unsweetened is like 40 calories per cup and sweetened is about 70 calories

  • @okorolina please do!

  • Did you put actual sugar in there or spenda??

  • KALE is also great in smoothies, love, love, loooove kale! Great recipe, thanks!

  • @SecretPlaceDweller91 Also, if you want it sweeter instead of sugar, try raw honey, tastes FAB and is very sweet and healthier. You could also use blackstrap molasses if you like the taste it is very vitamin and iron rich.

  • @SecretPlaceDweller91 ooooo weee! Never thought of honey!!! YES!

  • That is one cornucopia of a smoothie! I wouldn't have thought to throw in spinach with bran flakes with the fruits. Will have to try it. Have you used almond milk for your smoothies as well? its quite delicious and calorie-friendly!

  • @CrysnMakeup ...didn't she rip that up! LOL!.....I like it because it's got that 'ol school flava!
