  • Haze's solo was face melting! :)

  • @jonsilence THUNDERFOOT LEO!!

  • I loved the guys but never saw them dressing up likeStryper/Ratt. D looks like Paul Stanley

  • Da Bomb! Y&T is da shizzzzzznit!

  • I remember this concert from 1984. My favorite radio station did an MTV simulcast, and I still have the cassette of that show. One of my all time favorites ever.

  • Thanks man

  • These clips are THE reason I registred on YouTube.

I just HAD to tell you, kissmaniak, that I'm SOOOOOOOOOO glad you uploaded this concert.

    Thanks A LOT M8 !!!

  • 1 person has a Mean Streak!!

  • Good band!

  • MY FAVORITE BY THEM!!!!!!!!

  • Every time they came to the east coast it was smaller but I love Dave!! and this band!!

  • I saw them open up for Triumph and I went and bought their album the next day.

They put on a great live show.

  • THIS IS ONE OF THEIR BEST NO DOUBT!!!!!!!

  • It is so rare to find bands that sound good live...and these guys sounded better live than in a studio!!

  • Look ridiculous....yes. So did I back then. But I.m not listening to the clothes. (as loud as they are) Y and T always delivered. Bowie looked fruity in the ziggy years but put out some memorable stuff.

  • Saw them last week @ Rock City Nottingham - going again tomorrow night @ the O2 Academy Islington London - just get better an better with age - MOST underated guitarist on the planet is Dave and he's got a fantastic voice

  • Long fucking gone...

  • get well Phil- we miss u

  • I always felt this band should have got more notice

  • @surfcrs Just goes to show you how many great bands there were in the eighties that a band like this became B-list and they are great!

We were so spoiled in the eighties, who knew at the time right?

  • I'd like to see Nicko McBrain of Iron Maiden have a "drum off" with old Lenard Haze.

  • @mrdaisycutter1 I used to Love Leaonard. he was a Bad-ass back in the day, with that really fast Single-Foot Bass Drum stuff, but unfortunately, as the years passed, he got worse. sloppier, fatter, more drugs, etc... he's now a shell of his former self. sad. Nicko, on the other hand, remains a "World Class" powerhouse Fucking Rock Drummer, and would DESTROY leaonard Haze in short order.

  • Dammit I have always loved that freaking drummer!

  • i love the music but the clothes were wierd

  • fineasski... why do you make a negative comment about Dave and their costumes "looking so bad" when there is so much to f*cking talent going on in this video. Hell man, it was 1985... nobdy in the music industry looked their "best". Check out Leonard Haze talent and as far as Dave being a "lazy front man", well, I just think you're missing the whole deal dude.... whatever

  • Meninketti is a legend - I love this song and lyrics

  • Hey man ,i was there. Twisted sister and Lita Ford opened. Cool post

  • GREAT CONVERTIBLE SONG!

    Crank it to 11.......

  • @fineasski the guy is a true artist!!! for you to make these comments makes you no more than a mindless idiot!!!

  • This is Hard Rock @ it's finest!!!

  • I saw them at the country club in reseda in 83 one of the best bands of all time

  • I saw Y&T two weks ago SALA Sweden !!!

  • Meniketti is a force to be reckoned with! Double duty...& he makes it look easy

  • Saw them open for AC/DC in 1982!

  • Y&T was an awesome band. Saw them open Ace Frehley and they blew him away. Ive seen many many bands live and never saw anyone sound so good the entire show. Maniketti's voice was just as strong the last note he sang as the first. Was a shame they never got as big as they deserved.

  • The first gig I saw these guys.... WHAT A SHOCKER. Opening for Ted Neugent & Journey both when they were at their peak, And Y&T BLEW THEM OFF THE STAGE. And they have never let me down since ONE HELL OF A LIVE ACT

  • Hell yea! Leornard Haze was a one of the best single-kick drummers around. I love this shit. Thanks for putting this out there!

  • What Y&T song has the best example of Leonard's bass drum foot? Been hearing about him for a while.

  • I think Hang-em-High, on the Mean Streak Album is good one for single bass work.

  • never mind!!!!!!

  • yeah meanstreak

  • Where have all the good bands gone?

I miss the 80s rock scene.

  • @Jraax saw these guys in july in pittsburgh best twenty bucks ive spent they still rock

  • Perfect execution of this song.

  • one of the best bands from the bay area, and theres a nice list to go with them, y&t are fucking awesome live

  • hallo from germany!!! yes!!!!Y&T is a living legend, great hardrock-songwriting the old scool...keep on rockin! im waiting for mean streak2

  • There must be some unwriiten rule among directors: During the guitarist's solo, focus on anybody BUT him.

  • haha. i no rite. but this is a crime 2 not show dave during this solo, they r way 2 fucking underratted. it sucks tht they never really hit the big time like they shud have

  • You're sooooo correct! Y & T is THE MOST underrated heavy band of the past three decades..

Dave Meniketti is a fucking monster. Nuff said..

    I'm so drunk...

  • I miss music like this these days

  • First saw this band in Dublin Ireland in the early 80s' supporting AC/DC. Never heard of them before that. They blew AC/DC off the stage. Been a fan ever since. A Criminally underrated band. Dave Meniketti is probably my favourite guitarist and has never received the acclaim he deserves. Technically brilliant, melodic and hard hitting too! They don't make em like that anymore.

  • doesn't get more ASS KICKIN' than this! Too underrated & Unsung for words!

  • Dave Meniketti is a fucking beast.

  • Damn. I have this on VHS. A kick ass Rock n Roll band. Way underrated.

  • Go Oakland Raiders!!! Just win, Baby!!

  • hell ya man, Y&T all tha way baby!

  • kickass song by a kickass band! HEELLL YEAAA!!!

  • This is so fucking great

  • yea it is!

  • i love this song...!!!!

  • It's a damn shame these guys never had the success that some of the lesser talented, cough cough (Extreme) bands did. They were fantastic.

  • They were viewed as posers because they wanted to be more commercial and mainstream. They wanted to be seen as cool, not cool.

  • One of the best bands with one of the best front man of all time!

  • i just heard this song earlier on my sirius for the first time. Im hooked and am now an instant fan.

  • Dave Meniketti is awesome, check him out in the compilation band Hear'n'Aid, in "we're stars" , and even in the middle of a room full of talented vocals, his still reigns.

  • leonard always played single bass. and his foot is easily the fastest and wildest!

    a+ drummer! great band!

go hear 'nasty sadie' from 'struck down' for a lesson in bass drum foot!

  • theyre so fucking amazing live. im so jealous that my dad went to see them back in the 80s

  • n same here

    xXkmbja13Xx.....

  • I was at this show--Lita Ford and Twisted Sister were the other acts--freaking awesome!! I had this on tape and wore it out, maybe one day it'll make it to dvd. I'll never forget Leonard Haze explained to the audience all the things they weren't allowed to say since it was gonna be on MTV--needless to say his speech didn't make it on the tape either. Thanks for posting!

  • this is what it's all about....man, I loved these guys!!!! Dave's voice and guitar and Leonard Haze!! Leonard taught me how to drive a band, let me tell you!

  • You must be a great drummer.

This Y and T album is my favorite...their best in my opinion. In '85 I was 19 and listened to this album probably a billion times.

  • I don't think I'm great, but I think I'm very competent :) Leonard was huge to me

  • i was here also i dont think i missed a y&t show:) lenny does kick ass!!!!

  • I remember when this was on MTV. These guys are still a personal favorite of mine, and they were one of the most underrated bands EVER. Just put on any other CD released in 1983, and then put on the Meanstreak CD - and you can easily hear that this CD is heavier than anything else released that year.

  • Best version of this song yet...the drum solo was in an odd spot...

  • Weak Drum solo? From Leonard Haze...the quickest FOOT ever....NFW....Leonard Rocks!

it was just a quick solo...who cares....

You don't have to put on a 10 minute double bass solo to be great....Leo rocks!

  • growing up in the bay area in the 80s i saw these guys a lot and while i think they're great...i gotta say that drum solo was pretty weak and what a bad choice of spots to put it in...not very musical

  • Leonard Haze was one of the most underated drummers ever.

  • This Band was and still is gotta be one of the most underated bands of all time....I still go to see them and they are better than they were back in the day...amazing..they are 50+ and still kicking major ass... Long live Y&T!!!!!!!!!

  • Amen to that! Any drummer who hasn't heard the self-titled Y&T record has been missing out! I got that record when i was 12, and Leonard Haze was the AMerican John Bonham - in fact, his foot is better than Bonham's was as far as I'm concerned.

  • you mean his feet,

he has a double bass pedal there my friend. Bonzo never used one. As far as i'm concerned Ian Paice has the fastest feet - and hands for that matter - of any drummer in their prime.

  • You sir have the wrong facts. Leonard NEVER uses a double bass pedal. He is a one foot GIANT!!!!

  • Freakin Rocks!!!!!!

  • I WAS THERE... I WISH I STILL HAD MY SHIELD FROM THAT NITE!

    Y and T ROCKS!!!!

  • dave m what a guy

  • thanks for the vid. I just love their style of music.. not today except rap and other mix genre.

  • They sound super great live !!!

  • damn i used to have this entire concert on videotape yes i said it....vhs! i play in 3 bands now as a guitarist a hard rock, country, and hip hop and this guy was a huuuuge influence when i was 13 and pimple faced with my cheapie axe..Dave M is so damn underrated its not funny as a frontman...you rule Dave...thanks for all the soulful jams

  • I've always loved this song. Everytime I hear it I think that Y&T must have been listening to a Judas Priest album right before they wrote it.

  • Thanks for putting all these live clips on here. Y&T have been a favorite ever since I bought the Earthshaker album when it came out in 1981.
