  • D: Y U NO BE ZELDA

  • only a true men cry... just seeing link cry is breaking my heart...

  • 8:25 link's eyes... are just AWKWARD looking!

  • Manly tears makes my heart melt <3 I hope Link gets the girl this time! The dude deserves a happy ending!

  • You know what it is that really made me fell it? Zelda's eyes.....

  • Lol links face at 9:31

    Dafuq!?

  • tetris :3

  • 9:13 WTF is with Link's eyes, a boner or something?

  • notice how the gate is turning counter-clockwise

  • @kilroyyyyy90 counter clockwise means that it's a door to the past, while clockwise means it's a door to the future

  • Faron woods and korkiri forest are different places

  • I almost cried when I saw link Weep XD

  • this game explains the creation sort of but leaves lots unanswered for example why throught out the game series thing and locations have moved a great deal.in link to the past the lost woods is above kakriko which is above desert and in OoT lost woods is in kokiri above lake hylia and kakriko is above it but on the right side of map instead of left desert is still in same place though death moutain instead of most north is now slightly to the left of castle

  • @boltriot In the gaming world you kinda have to let those things slide :/

  • confusion aside, this scene was amazing. i got teary-eyed when zelda's lullaby started playing and while i didn't cry, i was definitely emotional during the entire cutscene. nearly lost it at "will you come to wake me up?" seriously. (might've lost it at "i'm still your zelda" had twitter not spoiled it.) lots of fans said they genuinely wanted to save zelda after the beginning but honestly i didn't have this strong sense of I HAVE TO SAVE HER!! till this scene. link's reaction was just... ;___;

  • can someone explain what zelda means by "i used you"? i've watched this scene so often i'm starting to overthink things. how exactly did she use him? she didn't put herself in danger on purpose just so that link could awaken as the hero. plus, hylia couldn't have intentionally chosen him because of his close bond to her mortal self, since that bond didn't exist yet at the time (assuming he was chosen at birth, that is). am i missing something completely obvious here? wouldn't surprise me. :\

  • @singwithin What she means is that she, the Goddess, completely set him up so he would go to all those insane lengths to save her... Just to make him capable of using the Triforce and destroying Demise. But now she remembers her past life, the part of her that is Zelda really regrets making him suffer like that, hence her apology.

  • This cutscenes so beautiful!!

But I'm still really really mad Links right handed :( it's all the Wiis fault!!

It's still a wonderful game. And his expressions are priceless!! xD

  • I have a very strong feeling that the Temple of Hylia becomes the future Temple of Time/sacred meadow.

I believe sometime after these events, much like the Goddess Hylia rose that large mass of land to populate the Hylians on, Link and Zelda established the Kingdom of Hyrule and moved the temple of time near Hyrule Castle. In addition, they fused a piece of the triforce respectfully within themselves and sealed the triforce of power in the silent/sacred realm

I don't know, just knit picking...

  • @windkai

    >ocarina time all 3 pieces split leaving ganondorf with one piece

In other words, not sure how the end part of what you said holds water except for sealing it/them in the sacred realm.

  • @Desilent49 whoops, hahah i almost forgot about that, okay so they seal the entire triforce into the sacred realm after moving the temple of hylia in a location where the royal family of hyrule can protect. The temple of hylia becomes the temple of time which ultimately lead up into OOT.

Then in oot, the later incarnation of link opens the door of time, pulls out the master sword, and with that ganondorf touches the triforce. That events splits it into three, my fault. -___-

  • @windkai

hey windkai wouldn't make more sense instead of moving a temple they just might have built hyrule around the old one.

  • @boltriot That would make sense, if Hyrule castle was built within the province of Faron woods. But many Zelda games like LTTP and TP already prove that Hyrule was established away from Faron woods. And by that province of Faron woods I mean The Lost Forest, Kokiri Village, Ordon village, sacred meadow.

  • @Desilent49 LOL, i forgot, the only reason why link was able to use it here is because he was completely balanced. As zelda explained it, Link's trials up unto this scene balanced him with power, courage, and wisdom. It was the only reason up to that point that he was able to use the triforce I think, because it has been said that only a balanced soul could use the triforce without having it to split into its three fragments.

  • @windkai

If not for overcoming his trials Link would probably pop like a balloon.

  • @Desilent49 LMAO hahahahahahah!

  • @Desilent49 QUESTION: After you enter the gate of time to the past (after the 2nd Imprisoned battle), have you ever went back through the gate again (back to the present where Old Impact is) before/instead of talking to Young Impa, and then gone outside to Gorko the Goron? If you do this, there are a 2ND PACK of Bokoblins where you 1st saved the Goron from the 1st pack. The 2nd pack are B:UE BOKOBLINS. No idea if this changes the story or if it's just a glitch? Any idea?

  • I was in awe at this scene!. I almost cried when link cries... And when hes standing in the stairs looking at Impa, my heart was acking lol.

  • So Zelda does like him right? She didn't just use him? Cause she did say she was HIS zelda...so that must mean she likes him...right????

  • God, I was brought to my knees with wiimote in one hand and nunchuk in the other when I saw Link stumble on the stairs running to Zelda @ 13:10. Reminded me of my old flames...

  • Men don't cry...

    MEN WEEP

  • 10:14 I LOVE THAT! Every zelda has always featured that theme when you acquire the master sword and s soooooo powerful and just plain AWESOME!!!

  • BAWWW ;___;

  • 00:31 OH GOSH ! TETRIS!

  • The pain on his face when zelda fell asleep was heark breaking... I wanted to jump in and hug him :,(

  • can some tell me theme that plays at 2:09 I REALLY WANT IT

  • @tyson99 me too! PLEASE LET US KNOW!

  • @JessMP101

Agreed. It was at that moment for me that I fell in love with Groose's character. He's been acting tough this whole time, but it's at this moment that he knows he has no place in these events. Very commendable for him.

  • I picked "I Promise" but I don't see what's wrong with any of the other answers.

  • Everyone who didn't answered "I promise" might as well just give up on life...

  • in that one second link showed more emotion then in the whole series:(

  • and so zelda II came along :D (because in zelda II u try to wake up zelda by reuniting the triforce)

  • @thedragonball97121

    *SS Spoilers*

Link wakes Zelda up in this game. The Zelda 2 one is a different Zelda.

  • Everyone who has layed and finished this game when it said " But this time, when all of this is over, will you come to wake me up" Thumbs up if u whent to I promise straight away if you did WELL DONE MY PEOPLE

  • This scene made me prefer SS over Oot, amazing!!

  • First off this takes place 100 years before OoT due to the fact that gannon was born as a male in the geruda desert and in OoT they state that one male is born every 100 years during this game zelda, link, and impa all die to be reincarnated, impa is born 50 years before occarina of time and zelda and link are ten years due to the fact impa dies first because she is a old fatty. When link draws the master sword in occarina of time it puts him 7 years in the future aka 17 is to be classified as

  • @RoseColordBoxers I think its a bit more then 100 years, in Oot we see an entire civalization and other races. Let's say 500 years.

I also didnt like the idea that WW was 100 years after Oot, how can something that important be a legend in just 100 years.

  • @chrischico WW takes place 1000 years after OoT it says it in the begining

  • @jjnnerazor can't recall anything of that, they definetly dont say it in the WW prologue

  • @RoseColordBoxers Actually, male Gerudos are born every 1000 years.

  • @Udugunit It's 100..

  • @0Princess0Zelda0 Ok.. then consider me corrected.

  • Just an amazing scene.

  • ...you never told her Groose said "Whats up." You heartless bastard Link...

  • Best video game series ever. period.

As the player, YOU are the HERO of time. Brilliant and epic in every sense. The game draws upon your imagination and in doing so makes the connection between Hero and player that much stronger. I dont get people who don't get this franchise.

  • I was pretty emotional during this scene but I was holding it together. But when she said "I'm still your Zelda," I was like BAAWWWWWW ; _ ;

  • So this is Zelda from OoT, I'm assuming. Since the only game with ganon that came before it besides this is Four Swords adventure, that'd make sense, since Impa is also here.

  • @YacubCubby13579ZR

That doesn't really work, seing Link and Zelda here are already older than the link and Zelda in OoT

  • @YacubCubby13579ZR

Zelda from OoT? No no. Much time passes between this and OoT. (Including the Hylian War) Plus, Zelda and Link first meet as kids in OoT.

  • @YacubCubby13579ZR There are a lot of characters named Impa. Basically it's the traditional name the caretaker of Zelda. Just like there are a bunch of Links and Zeldas, there are a bunch of Impas.

  • awww... poor thing...never in my life have i ever seen Link cry. makes you want to go to him and give him a hug to cheer him up.

  • oh look link found more amber relic

  • Oops I meant Impa but I'm on my phone so it's a typo :S

  • Omg.. I had to stop watching this. I am up to collecting Farore's tears so I'm halfway there. I want to watch this so bad. But I can't spoil it!

  • figuring out zelda was the human form of hylia just put a weight on me like no other

  • my expressions matched like link's when i played this.... it was just so shocking :[

  • Comment removed

  • 9:41 Yep....it's official! ZeldaxLink is now cannon!

  • I actually cried when I played this like 20 minutes ago

  • I JUST REALIZED THAT INPA IS THAT OLD LADY!!!

  • @MrTommytulip Who is Inpa? LOL

  • I love the look on Link's face at 9:15

  • Not gonna lie. I screamed at her not to seal herself. I pretty much felt everything Link felt.

Then I saw him cry and my heart broke into a million pieces. FUCK THIS GAME IS AMAZING.

  • i almost cried...

  • i played this part just a few hours ago. i couldn't believe what i was hearing. the only other time i was so emotional over a video game were the endings of the pokemon mystery dungeon games :P that scene just hurt to watch

  • Comment removed

  • Look closely at Impa and then look at the old woman.

    HMMMMMMMM?

  • @SolidJCP *SPOILER* so u als saw the ending ;D

  • @TheZeldafan789 No looking for the Triforce right now.The hint that i got was from the hair. Both have this hairstrain which is hanging.

  • @SolidJCP oh so i will not spoiler sorry if i already have ^^

  • When she said that she'd remained in sleep for thousands of years, I thought at first that it meant that she was the Zelda who gets woken up in Adventure of Link (with the backstory screwed up by history or something). I was wrong but, still, I think that would've been interesting.

    Oh and when Link started running to her? Tears were shed here. ;_;

  • This also explains how the amber relics came to exist.

  • Whoa, I see symbols from Oracle of Ages~

  • The worlds most badass Rubix Cube. I want one! D:

  • Oh God what a Beautiful Game ,One of the Best I´ve seen in my Whole Life ,but I think (my opinion) that it would be a better masterpiece with the The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess graphics.

  • wow link's huge eyes really do portray that good old wtf feeling

  • Yay another thousand year door moment :D

  • oh . . . wow . . . wooow . . . this scene actually hit me ;____;

man tears . . . man tears? MAN FLIPPIN TEARS?

    omfg Link you're sucha man.

  • Comment removed

  • ...fuck everything about Hylia. Fuck her. Why are there so many goddamn onions in this room...

  • @craponnaruto

    Onions ; _ ; ?

  • @craponnaruto

??? How did you get to onions???? What about lemons!?!?!?

  • @craponnaruto what are you smokin...

  • Personally, I was waiting for the creation of the Master Sword. And thus, at 10:26, the Master Sword became what it is, has been, and ever will be, today, yesterday, and 5 years from now!

  • @YoshiAngemon the master sword got destroyed in both timelines

  • And this is the first time in Zelda history where we ACTUALLY see Link cry. God, I can't help but feel sorry for both him and Zelda.

  • @LangdonOrr What? Link actually has character behind him now? This is the biggest development since Ryu from Street Fighter said that he hates spiders!

This isn't even the same Link.

  • @PsychoJosh Compared to most Links like Ocarina of Time Link, who had almost no personality, yeah. At least this Link (along with Wind Waker Link, Spirit Tracks Link, and Twilight Princess Link) has something that we can call a personality.

  • @LangdonOrr Oh, and some hints in A Link to the Past Link.

  • @LangdonOrr I don't know, I'm not really seeing major character development and that's kind of impossible anyways due to the fragmented nature of the series. I think the games have stagnated. This game doesn't really push any new boundaries for Zelda, it just tries to follow the Ocarina of Time formula down to a T. Even in the story, which is pretty typical time travel boilerplate, they haven't done anything new. It's resting on its laurels too much, it needs a revolution.

  • @PsychoJosh Eh, to each their own.

  • @PsychoJosh I respect your opinion but the real revolution Zelda can do is stay true to what makes it great instead of being something its not.

  • @RSXemperor85 "Something that it's not", like a decent modern game, you mean.

  • @LangdonOrr He cried in Oot because he has no fairy... does that count?

  • This is where I kept repeating and crying 13:04

  • This was really sad. I cried a lot and I wish to be Zelda.

  • ... This single moment... THIS moment in the LoZ franchise is exactly what all of it's fans have waited for.

  • @ScionCrimsonWind Thats right ever since OoT. A link to the past is my second favorite.
