I don't see what the big deal is. It's got a Corvette engine in it. It's like a tall Corvette. In the past, before corporate engines, a Cadillac had a Cadillac engine. Not any more. It's a Chev.

The CTS-V Coupe street version is probably faster than the race car in a straight line. The race car is using a standard LS3, not the supercharged LSA. Tires and less weight will make the race car faster around a track, but the road car would be close.

This isn't a GT3 car, it will be racing in the World Challenge GT class. It's similar to GT3, but it's not, in fact, a GT3 class.
