Gay people get in college over heterosexuals. Its everywhere so just don't just single out race. AA is used so that people who are less privileged have a fair chance. If someone from the inner city is applying to college and their verbal on the SAT is 600 and someone from the suburbs is applying with a verbal sat of 660 the kid from the city will get in regardless of race (they are usually a minority because inner cities have high minority populations)

A person may be cuban but they are classified under the term african american or black. All natives americans are classified into one group its the same scenario here.

First off Asians are considered to be the perfect minority aka Asians experience less discrimination than the other races and are considered intellectually the same as whites (a luxury other races do not have). This is a model that American culture is based off of.
Second the thing you have wrong is the definition of affirmative action. AA assists not only minorities but poor people, gender, sexual minorities, etc. AA is prevalent in numerous ways. Short people get jobs over tall people.

If someone from the inner city is applying to college and their verbal on the SAT is 600 and someone from the suburbs is applying with a verbal sat of 660 the kid from the city will get in regardless of race (they are usually a minority because inner cities have high minority populations)
