Hearing the lads horsing around always brings a smile to my face. This was such a magical time for rock, and The Beatles were the gurus to a generation, showing the way to everyone else.
RIP John, George. Sure wish you were still with us, to show a new generation what rock music is all about.....but, at least, we have their musical legacy to celebrate.
The Beatles's musical richness is just stunning. It's not my favourite band at all but musically it's the best band ever. They never repeat themselves, they always try something new and fresh in every part of every song. And it always sounds great, the whole is always much better than the sum of the parts. It's pure genius.
Don't judge the new remasters by listening on youtube... if you really into it just buy the complete box and you'll be stunned how better they sound.... at least I did!
@Datomz83 i got abbey road remastered, and it sounds substantially better. especially the bass, plus i find the vocals in the remasters are always much clearer. its hard to make the beatles sound better than they already are though. :-)
What a talent friends!!!!!!!!! a perfect couple in music.
Lennnon creating this kind of songs and McCartney playing that wonderful bassline and having a unique vocal range and perfect tunning when singing, no matter what's the note you've gotta sing.... simply put: they were genious....
Paul is one bad ass bass player. Paul put bass playing on the map. Before the beatles the bass player was just some guy that was in the background thumping out some very simple bass line and never sang.
I usually prefer Lennon's tunes like this one over McCartney's (although Paul nails his songs on Sgt Pepper). But....McCartney had SO MANY monster bass lines - like in this song. What a band! Their "throw away" tunes are better than most other band's best.
probably not a good idea to get your first impression of remasters from youtube vids. i've listened to srg pepper's, magical mystery tour and white album and none of the songs sound like the vocals are lower like on this video
Zoinks & thanks too! Mono or Stereo? Great sounds from the greatest band ever. Personally I'm in for the Stereo Box Set, the Mono Box Set & the Box Of Vision book/storage unit fiendish thingee of beauty. Blessings!

The music, mainly the base, is much improved! Sadly, the voices sound weird and are almost drowned out by the tunes.

Love McCartney's bass on this -- playing against the guitars, takes it to a whole other level.

One of the best songs i heard but i dont see it on the major beatles ablums.

Yeah I agree what happened with the vocals. They are so buried in the mix. The Yellow submarine songtrack version sounded much better.
