The designers had a good concept but executed it mundanely. Certain elements of the multiplayer were good- always being able to pick your respawn point, cashing in your points for weapon and vehicle drops. Complex objectives made it challenging, but the controls needed simplifying.The real weakness was the campaign. A complete absence of plot and no explanations as to why anything is happening drag it down. Zero character development leaves you detached from Corde thinking "What's the point?"

I honestly think Section 8 would have been a brilliant game if it adopted a more, over the shoulder, tactical shooter style of gameplay. similair to Ghost Recon Future Soldier.. A story driven, fast paced squad oriented shooter (with co-op!), with a fleshed out universe and story. In addition, there would be a ton of cool gadgets and weapons to try out that were creative and fun to use.

Bottom line the trailer is one of the best i've ever seen. If this game came out in 2001 it would have been something to write home about. But the graphics are a disappointment, the game play isn't good, and the single player is corny at best. People obviously agree since you can't find a well populated server online. Sequel looks good though.
