Humm I think that was the story of the dropped book, to get to transit and the something more was going to happen there but the author dropped the book in that instant and what was going to happen in transit never happened.

I don't understand the ending, when  she founds another girl in her desk writing the book. I love the movie but i didn't understand the ending :C. can anyone help me.

@curzens I think she realized, that she was also "dropped " because the other "she" tells someone in the phone that "I dropped the first version of the novel, because it was too personal" so she was also a creation wich ended in the litter bin. But I don't really get why they saw eachother. Or at least that's my solution. O o

From the time she enters the spirit world until the time when everything freezes is the book that the original woman writes but then she decides it is too autobiographical and abandons the idea to start over. The abandoned spirit leaves the spirit world which as the little girl says means she has to wander the world as a spirit now, real girl talks to her editor and then sees spirit version and the movie ends.
