Yes, the final section is performed on alto, but still doable on tenor. I performed it on tenor, so I'm sure Joe could. His alto work is spot on.

The truly remarkable thing about it is that Joe plays this well ALL THE TIME. I had a lesson with him a few months back, and he just about sight-reads anything near perfectly. There's something about him that no other trombone player has never had. He is one of the few who can actually give perfect performances. Incredible.

I'm currently working on this concerto. If anyone wants it, you can buy it from Alessi Publications. As always, a beautiful performance by Alessi. But, I do have to say, the last movement was performed on an alto trombone. It is a little too much for it to be truly possible on a tenor, even for Alessi. He still did a fantastic job.

@trombonebro I wasn't guessing, I was stating a fact. Didn't you even read? I said ONLY the final movement. It says so on the album and on the sheet music that it was recorded on an alto.
