I thought I was gonna hear a punked-out version of Junco Partner. Instead I get a reggae version , which is at least interesting. As mentioned in a previous post , to get the true feel of the song , you gotta check out one of the New Orleans guys . That guy's correct that Professor Longhair , Dr. John and James Booker have the best versions.

But , he screwed up the lyrics to Carnival Time . It's "throw the baby out the window , let the joint burn down".

I remember back when I was a freshman in high school...I couldn't get into this album. A few years later and my appreciation for different styles of music really made Sandinista my all time favorite album<3

thanks for agreeing with me. i hope people realise i wasn't trying to offend people by saying which clash album they should love the most, that would b silly! i'm just making reference to the amount of wannabe clash fans out there because it makes them feel kinda cool. all i'm saying is so many people claim to be clash fans yet are unfamiliar with all of their albums which in my mind is disrespectful.

if sandinista isn't your fav clash record then you cant be a real fan. whilst all the clash records are great sandinista is the album that truly challenges their fans. sandinista wasnt that well received at the time of release because many considered it to long and experimental. the reality is that the clash were simply moving quicker than everyone else. it just took some time for us to catch up ,even today after all this time this record can still surprise me.
