  • @Styraen Ya!

  • awesome

  • Lurve it.

    ~

  • "Dubbing and toasting over numerous tracks" they should change the word Toasty to "Baked" cause thats how this song makes me feel...

  • love the fiddle in the background...

  • It sounds like Joe Strummer singing.

  • Punk + Reggae = most of 70's punk bands.

  • Punk + Reggae = The Clash!

  • @EssiacHempLaetrile Punk + Reggae = Bad Brains!

  • @clumsiii save your breath to inflate your partner!

  • the begining still amazes me.

  • This song is fucking killing it. brilliant on all cylinders.

  • 1:27 IS THE BEST PART. STRUMMER!!!!! HE IS THE JUNCO PARTNER

  • relapse with the clash

  • so this is where all the true clash fans are :P love this album songs lik ivan meets ji joe and the call up are in my top 10 of all time... bu

    thats just me :)

  • Sandinista is so much better than London Calling. I'm surprised it doesn't get any of the hype.

  • I love Joe Strummer voice sound awesome in reggae punk just in everything ;D

  • I thought I was gonna hear a punked-out version of Junco Partner. Instead I get a reggae version , which is at least interesting. As mentioned in a previous post , to get the true feel of the song , you gotta check out one of the New Orleans guys . That guy's correct that Professor Longhair , Dr. John and James Booker have the best versions.

But , he screwed up the lyrics to Carnival Time . It's "throw the baby out the window , let the joint burn down".

  • @LJH70122 I stand corrected on Carnival Time. Born and raised in NOLA, I actually knew that, but apparently my computer had been drinking my Grey Goose. ;-) Thanks for the heads up!

  • I love the Clash (STILL the most unsung band ever) But if you want to hear this song played instead of played with please refer to Fess Longhair or Dr. John, James Booker, Allen Toussaint - SOMEBODY from N'awlins. Mardi Gras day isn't till March 9 this year so its the longest Mardi Gras season in about 75 yrs."Throw the baby out the window/Let the sun burn down" (Al "Carnival Time"Johnson) Break out da wine, music and naked women!! Jockamo Fee NaNey! Peace&Love from the Big Easy y'all!!

  • Love the bubblin organ in this . The Clash really understood reggae (unlike the Police) and did it a great service by introducing people to a wealth of beautiful music they may have otherwise overlooked

  • We do Asian marriage service now lushfmlk.info

  • Keep this as secret we provide best Asian women for dating lushfmlk.info

  • i love smoke marjuana and listen this wonderful song whit headphones...

  • I remember back when I was a freshman in high school...I couldn't get into this album. A few years later and my appreciation for different styles of music really made Sandinista my all time favorite album<3

  • just awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • a great song, a brilliant album and an almighty talented band....and that includes all their collaborators they all together made a sound, a form of music and a love for expression that has influences still to this day. no wonder they deserve the epitaph "the only band that really mattered"

  • mikey dread, legend, as is living in fame

  • Joe is having too much fun singing this. <3

  • no no no nom forget other peoples opinoion yours is more important than cobain s etc take your power back

  • wow mate so good this vid compylation got to be one of the best seen on da tube mikey dread marley strummer r i p

  • Kurt Cobain hated this album...

I'm not sure I can respect him anymore.

  • id never respect a bloke that killed himself for no good reason......

  • @johnwilkesbo kurt cobain didnt hate this album he listened to it thinking it was a punk album and then decided he hated punk.

  • You clearly know more on the subject than I do

  • @johnwilkesbo

    How you know that???

  • I didn't realize I was writing a research paper. You sir a prick

  • SANDINISTA AND COMBAT ROCK THERE BEST

  • RIP MIKEY AND JOE WE MISS U

  • I love "Sandinista!" I think it's an under rated product. Just like "Cut The Crap".

    Fantastic records.

  • Cut the Crap ain't a Clash record. It's a second rate attempt to continue something which was lost. The magic was lost when Strummer & Simonon fired Jones.

  • @Spraycando

So a lot of the Damned and Ramones records aren' t Damned or Ramones records either.

  • @ZLUGGO. I Dunno. I don't give a shit about the Damned or Ramones.

  • @Spraycando

I' m sure they don't care about you either. And neither do I.

  • @ ZLUGGO. Like I give an absolute fuck. I don't. Take a walk. Junco Partner.

  • @Spraycando

    Your statement is insignificant.

  • @Spraycando then you're a cunt mate.

  • @thecrazyknowledge You gotta laugh. LOL.

  • @Spraycando the magic was lost when strummer sacked topper

  • A truly underrated classic.

Musically the Clash covered so much ground. Such enthusiasm. Such commitment.

  • rip joe strummer a true ledgend and mikey dread 2!!!! daddy was a bank robber one of mikeys n strummers best ever on both sides

  • my favorite clash song!!

  • This was actually an old blues song covered by Strummer's band The 101'ers. They're version has a more rockabilly sound; still great.

  • hey! what the hell? whyd somebody thumb down me?hahah

  • I agree with the comment "If Sandinista isn't your fav clash record then you cant be a real fan." This is a masterpiece and blows London Calling outta the water.

  • combat rock is the best

  • best what?...if u mean weakest clash lp then u are right on

  • no dude definatley the best clash album i mean should i stay or should i go, rock the casbah, and straight to hell are some of teh greatest songs ever

  • thanks for agreeing with me. i hope people realise i wasn't trying to offend people by saying which clash album they should love the most, that would b silly! i'm just making reference to the amount of wannabe clash fans out there because it makes them feel kinda cool. all i'm saying is so many people claim to be clash fans yet are unfamiliar with all of their albums which in my mind is disrespectful.

  • I didnt much used to like this song but over recent months the whole sandanista! album has become essential listening and this is one of many stand out tracks, thanks for posting.

  • if sandinista isn't your fav clash record then you cant be a real fan. whilst all the clash records are great sandinista is the album that truly challenges their fans. sandinista wasnt that well received at the time of release because many considered it to long and experimental. the reality is that the clash were simply moving quicker than everyone else. it just took some time for us to catch up ,even today after all this time this record can still surprise me.

  • No one cares who you consider a real fan.

  • fair enough

  • you just got destroyed by

    IsaacTheSalsaShark. lol

  • "I was born in Angola, serving 14 to 99..."

  • one of the best they did.

  • I didn't know until recently that The Clash were inclined to play dub and reggae.

    Excellent upload sir.

  • Outstanding track.

  • yeah i was 15 when i bought this lp for like 9.99...now its 30 bucks a cd

  • the cd has 36 tracks and its £3.99 in hmv which is an english music store.

  • what dude which hmv store is this i brought mine for £16 but this was years ago but £3.99 my god

  • One of the best songs from the best clash lp..ty for posting peace.

  • Respect huskernation. Indeed, Sandinista is without a doubt the best album the Clash released, the sheer variety of music was mind blowing. Best part was they sold the three-record release for the price of one. God bless em'

  • sandinista is great and as much as i love the way the clash broke beyond punk and all musical genres! my favorite of their albums is their debut self titled one!

  • Yeah... I quite like it... Nice upload mi friend :-)
