Area 51 Helicopter

It is a black hawk, but there have been reports of when people mess around near the border, and refuse to leave. A black helicopter will be sent to scout the area. Whether it's related to Area 51, or just simply ariel training, I'm not too sure.

This helicopter is a an OH-60H black-hawk, its been around since 1994, is nothing special or new. Its probably the NV national guard training or USAF doing base security.

1) That is a Special Operations MH-60K Blackhawk. (Note the refueling Probe) Obviously designed to reduce overall noise. Check 160th SOAR and 1st SOW.

2) Wind direction can greatly alter the course of sound

3) Your on a highway driving in a van

lol thats a standard issue us army/af/marine/navy uh-60 blackhawk..used for everything..they are pretty quiet and the ones the "rattle" your ears out might be old hueys(make a huge thump thump noise) or cobras or apaches all those are quite loud but that chopper is way more than 200 ft off of you it looks nearly a mile off...im working on becoming a pilot and in flight things look close are normally further off

By the looks of it your still on the highway so if that helicopter was from groom then it wouldn't be watching you on the highway, they usually come out when you actually turn down groom lake road and stop for pictures, they occasionally circle you to make sure your not up to no good then return back.

Nope just a bulletproof H2 Hummer with blacked out windows and a Big bull bar on it to smash the levers at the guard shack. Their gate is kinda weak.... only 3 levers not a double steel gate like you'd be expecting or something. By the way the armor also protects you from EMP's. Well, we all know that they have either live aliens, or bodies at area 51, there is at least one "grey" that is helping to rebuild spacecraft there, and I believe that they are even building a whole alien city underground. Half of Groom lake, which is where area 51 sits is underground in limestone and gypsum caverns. This may be one of the largest cavern complexes around, but how would we ever know? I think they regularly patroll the perimiter, sometimes they have been know to fly close or flash their searchlight at tourists...unfortuneatly i have yet to visit the place for myself.

They dont try to scare people off using flares. When we do exercises (lookup Red Flag) we use a lot of flares to confuse the "enemy" radar. Not all aircraft in that area are there for Area 51 there are other ranges all around that place. That is a search and rescue helicopter, they mainly fly PJs around.

That one probably is, but that doesn't mean it wasn't some other squadron out there for desert training or Red Flag. The Nellis ranges are excellent training areas since they're so similar to where we deploy to currently and because they're so vast. Oh and when I said flares before I meant chaff. Flares are for breaking heat seeking locks, but flares are used in abundance.
