  • that's a thundercats logo on his chain there :)

  • @mipmipmipmipmip

nope, Mercury Cougar late-70s Hood emblem.

  • @Hot80s thanks for the info! Maybe I should look for one on ebay :)

  • Hi to everybody. Is anybody who can tell me the title of the music, surely by Jan Hammer, in the beginning of Miami Vice's episode ( Honor among thieves) 4° season - episode 16 ?

    Thanks

  • Calderone`s disliked this!

  • why was this programme so sad?

  • @CaraBeata The reason the show was some times sad was that it had to rival the likes of dallas and the big soaps at the time.

  • Miami Vice is still the best tv show ever with the best music.

    Miami Vice rules.

  • Can anybody tell me which parts of Miami are seen in this video?

  • He remembers a boat! and ... and...aaarrgghWhat series is this? Need to know!

  • @Willowmelangel it's season 5

  • 80's was definitely good years to be a teen

  • Did all drug dealers back then have a pony tail?

  • Non mi perdevo una puntata!Mitico telefilm.

  • To be honest, this is one of the few scenes from Season 5 that recaptured the emotion some of the older eps had - the "Cry" scene from "Definitely Miami," the "Picture Book" scene from "The Good Collar" - the list goes on.

  • What a classic moment... The best cop show ever!

  • fantastic this is the best!!!! 8O's years forever!!!!

  • LOL @ 1:20, the 80s muscle guys with tight and short clothes.

  • Also, the fact Gina doesn't pull her gun on him is great, like she still trusts him and would trust him no matter who he says he is...

  • 2:04 - end is just amazing. The way they pull their guns on Crockett, its just really powerful. Crockett, the man once hailed a hero in Vice, reduced to a man who has guns pulled on him by all of his former colleagues. It's great television. The look on Gina's face says it all, too. Long Live Miami Vice.

  • it was a coming out party for the hetrosexual man..chill hugo boss suits no socks with slip ons..........

  • Love that 80's ponytail, love the 80's.. the world and escpecially America has become a sick twisted paranoid hateful police state place with terrible music, tv, movies, I hate it and would kill for a time machine!

  • The spin off from this show was amazing at the time...I was in the fashion industry in the early eighties and guys were all of a sudden discovering YSL, GQ magazine, Peirre Carrdin and Armani. They they wanted to look good like Crocket and Tubbs off the show. Of course the real Miami Vice sqaud of that time could never afford that image. No Ferrari's, Scarrabs or Armaini!!!!

  • I love this episodes, where Crocket comes back from the 'dark side'.

  • Good music, crappy show.

  • Amazing how this show changed television crime dramas. or at least defined a specific type of crime drama. The classic detective/murder mystery shows continued on the cbs roster, but nbc's miami vice crossed the the realm of televisions and feature film, it showed the eclectic neon latin world of florida. and realm of the international drug trade was never seen before vice. It was cool, the first show extreme living on the heals of Scarface.

  • then that voice comes in. who is she?

  • Don was a good looking Rooster back then. I was a teenager and never missed an episode. People forget how popular it was, and inovative in TV making. Of course it would be with Michael Mann at the helm.

  • Best show...but dang did they have to lose the black car...???

  • @ir2207

I agree. The black car was much better looking and cool than the closed white ferrari testarossa.

  • shoot him right in the face.

  • That fat guy is kinda like Diaz from Vice City...

  • @AudioSuper audio LOL everyone from vice city is based off of Miami vice characters.

  • @AudioSuper. No Diaz is based on the fat guy in Miami Vice...........

  • @markies74 The "El Gato" character? It sure is!

  • burnett was so dangerous because he had all of crocketts training and experience. but like the song goes he just wanted somewhere to rest.

  • anyone think sonny looks like george hamilton with the ponytail? Love the ending in the squad room.

  • That guy in the beginning must be a big fan of the cartoon show " THUNDERCATS "

  • what a croc of fucking shite, come who let this music on that fony back of fucking bolloxs man

  • Best episode after Calderones return :)

  • Those were wonderfull times and atmosphere in series, movies, music and everything. Wish i could feel it the same way again

  • @Zbyszek1707 Yeah, I didn't realise how good we had we had it then. I'm sounding like an old man, but who could have foreseen the cultural apocalypse we live in now?

  • @Zbyszek1707 Don't give up.

  • God Save Miami VIce!!

  • thundercat ho!

  • Thumbs up if you this this is The best episode eva !

  • @EBTerriers Miami Vice had the best storyline and the best soundtracks .... bring it back

  • @EBTerriers Now if they did should it be 80's era or should it be modern? my upinion is they should keep it in the 1980's because that movie they made SUCKED!!!!

  • have to admit, i loved this show..and they had tons of great music from the best artists ..i miss the style of the 80s and the music of the 80s, definitely blows todays style and music out of the water in general..thanks for this vid and music

  • They don't recognize him because of the ponytail.

  • "ok don , we gotta get ya new pony tail in this scene at least 8 times , reackon ya up to it ? ,, sure ill try , ,, ok action ! "

  • i now know who ricardo diaz from gta vice city is based on!

  • Loved growing up in the 80's ... and this is one of my favourite songs ever

  • Loved this show, wish I could afford the seris on DVD. By the way, if you scope El Gato's Necklace, it's the Thundercat's symbol lol. But yeah, loved this show, this and Huntr were the only 2 cop shows I ever watched that I thought were worth the time. Plot, character development, and Miami Vice had awesome style amd music to top it off.

  • they still alive. on ZDF NEO. Every night. from mon-thur.

  • Baldo! Don't give up :D

  • The 80's were awesome! When I was younger I never thought about this but when I got older I wondered how two cops were able to afford expensive cars, expensive jewelery, and expensive clothes? Take money? Working lots of traffic details? Just can't figure that one out.... :)

  • @mikeknight4u The first idea was that Tubbs and Crockett, as undercover cops, had to dress up as high class drug dealers do. So all the gold and jewels were financed by the police department (our taxes ;-)

  • @mikeknight4u Apartment approved cover.

  • Crockett and Stubbs were some real eye candy.

  • Love the pony tail, had one just like it, the jacket as well, 80's kicked all ass.

  • is the symbol on that guy's necklace the logo for the 80s mercury cougar?

  • really emotional stuff when they all pull there guns on him at 2:52 :(

  • @TheDoctor10 their?

  • @jf1gd2 I noticed that as soon as I posted the comment. Couldn't be assed to change it though... haha :D

  • miami vice was the 80s, the music was miami vice.

  • ahhhh, good TV show and he has that ford mercury emblam hanging.

  • @ :20 STAY AWAY FROM MY LADY FRIEND!!!!!!!

  • this is a fantastic song.

  • Despite all the episodes......this scene, if you know the series properly, will always be the best by far.....still brings a lump to my throat!

  • @garethhamilton111 Soo right! This is the main scene of the whole series for me I still remember! It left that much of an impression! Now, tell me how many show today leaves such a good impression as this show did?

  • Thunder, Thunder, Thunder, Thundercatssssss hooooooooo!!!!!!!!

  • Piotrek-Gabrys & Kasia Krzak rulezz

  • In the episode they kill tubbs wife and he believes that his kid is dead, does he ever find out different?

  • @matthewwildebour

    I think so...

  • Is that a Thundercats medallion?

  • @RivieraKid34 It's a Mercury Cougar medallion.

  • k gran serie... k recuerdos tan bonitos me trae, xd.

  • Don's wardrobe and hair looks alot like this in one of his early films after Vice; The Hot Spot, minus that cool little ponytail he's sporting here. I noticed he can look good despite his hair or clothes, it all works for him!

  • I loved it, loved it (the 80`s), these scenes take me back in time and make me miss so much those days

  • old school Miami Vice, the dogs.

the 80s was great to grow up in.

  • EPIC......

  • and to think all you get on tv these days is karaoke competitions etc. thank god i grew up in thew 80s!!!

  • Damn these memories are brilliant

  • i loved Miami Vice... gotta see if the box set is out...

  • THE PART WHEN HE WALKS IN THE SQUAD ROOM AND THEY ALL DRAW ON HIM, MAN THAT PART MAKES ME TEAR UP A BIT. IT'S CROCKETT, BUT IT'S NOT THE CROCKETT THEY ALL NO. GREATEST SHOW EVER

  • I can relate to this, bec. i had lost everything ,but the song help get me back on two feet , due to a bad situation and the god help out from above ...the realty of the real world. yes , it's made my heart ask for redeption... god work in strange ways!

  • thank you very much blackaway. The only problem is that I am abroad right now and Hulu doesn't work in my region :(

  • I first heard this song at age of 6, I have never forgotten it, its stuck !

  • Impresionante

  • Estas imagenes son de cuando el despues de haber perdido la memoria en una esplosion, termina en lo mas alto del crimen en miami, al recordar vuelve y es arrestado sin saber que pasa

  • hello, I am looking for some episodes. Do you know where I could download the season 4 (starting with A bullet for Crockett) to the season 5 episode 7 by any chance?

  • @pietdetective hulu had them

  • look at my edited video

    search kollegah-internationaler player edited video

    it is with miami theme

  • El Gato makes we wan't to do blow off a strippers ass again, man the good ole days.

  • Screw the 2010's, vive las 80's! Best Era EVER with the best style, best music, best atmoshpere! Need I say more, take me back there!

  • @Spugester26 I grew up in the 90's but i've grown to like 80's stuff more. Even the action cartoons like Hulk and X-Men rocked!!

  • @Spugester26

If you do find a way back, lemme know. I'm so done with this era.

  • @namnack Sure lad!

  • @namnack This might not be exactly what you mean but you can still visit a few countries in this world where things are as if time stood still a few decades.

Atleast thats how I'd escape this era.

  • @Serekh84 Cheers, but it's not the same...

  • Comment removed

  • @Spugester26 I hear you nowadays really seems to suck compaired to the 80s, I lived in Miami 84-88 Awesome times!

  • @lv2surf I wish that the other people would understand why the 80's ruled!

  • @Spugester26 youre absolutly right, i think so too, greetz from germany,.-

  • @VienenburgAngel Thanks lad! Finland sends greets!

  • @Spugester26 Not to forget-the best whores ever!

  • @Apemonger Almost forgot:D

  • @Spugester26 "Pushing to the limit" style forever !!!!

  • @scorpiofromhdpc Indeed lad!

  • @Spugester26 I absolutely agree with you. The last 10 years have been absolutely atrocious. No one will remember the last 10 or the next 10 years as anything other than shithead music and movies for shithead people. The 80s and early 90s were the best of the best. So much good music came out of the US and Europe - and of course American TV ruled the world back then.

  • BEST. SHOW. EVER.

  • @mreldude ur right dude !! Greatest show & the 80s were my decade !! Miss that decade. rb1031

  • Vice. Wow great music. Don Johnson was so cool. They used to have these tough and rugged actors back in the 80's. Time has certainly changed.

  • @brooklynsicily I think they call male actors these days, "actresses".

  • Great

Thank you very much for posting

  • Ahh those were the days, nothing like them....stationed in Florida, Miami Vice on TV.....to bad I cant go back to those years...great stuff...

  • EL GATO

  • by the end of its run the show had gone off the rails a bit (james brown as an alien etc), but scenes like this are what its all about. great set pieces with perfectly chosen accompanying songs. best show ever!

  • @damnfinecoffee1 I agree with you by the end of it's run it went way off, but compare to the crap that is on tv today this show is one of the best ever, and always will be. There will be no other show like it. And Don Johnson never lost his edge. He was great in all the seasons.

  • @leaiplussize wise words mate. couldn't agree more

  • Don Johnson undoubtedly one of the sexiest men to have ever walked this planet. Like a good wine he just improves with age.

  • man the police station was across the street from me it was knocked down for condos

  • Wait a minute... El Gato said in Millers crossing to "always put one in the brain box" but he did not in Miami when he shot his "helper"? maybe he changed after he moved to Miami.

  • season five episode 2 named redemption in blood originally aired on november 11,1988 by NBC nationwide , simply AWESOME!!!!!!!!!¨

    80 s the best

  • I live in Miami and though things have changed some things stay the same like the ambiance.. I wouldnt want to live anywhere else in the world..

  • damn! why didn't you show the rest??? it's been decades since i've seen this show, please make a follow up vid!!! thanks for the memories, Lynn.

  • crockett had more hair dos than most chicks!

  • Bellissimo video complimenti!!! Bellissima canzone e bellissimo telefilm.. w miami vice!!

  • man, he tucked his mullet back for sure when he was burnett! crocket was the party, and burnett was the business man! haha

  • i remember a boat

  • great movie

  • I hated when the memory thing was happening as a kid. I was like "wake up Crockett!!" Dang and he even shot Tubbs.

  • why at the end they take him undershot???

  • bonjourd a vous tous et oui que nous aimeron revoir cest deux flic a miami jadore don jh et tub bientot jespere sur nos ecrants car cest les melleur bisous de france

  • miami vice with colin farrell and jaime foxx rocks

  • Another awesome example of how no series before or since Vice has used popular music to such great effect.

The juxtaposition of Crockett surrounded by angry cops with guns drawn while Kate Bush sings "...Rest your head...You worry too much...It's going to be alright..." is just an incredibly powerful moment, one of the best in the entire series.

  • This is indead the best scene of the whole serie! If i were Michael Mann, this would have been the last episode....

  • @rochskier

I agree Best scene, when Crockett is surrounded by all his friends guns drawned! Till this day I remember it, thanks to the great music!

  • second that!

  • Unfortunately, the 80s were basically over right around 1987. The whole entertainment industry began moving toward a more involved, less exciting direction. The "fun" of the 80s had ended, and it's a feeling that hasn't been recaptured since.

  • @Mhikeal Well said.

Everything became dark and over- emotional and way too serious.

I'll take the over indulgent "decace of decadence" any day.

  • Anyone a fan of the video GTA Vice city? lol

Do you suppose that character there in the beging was modled after Diaz? :D

  • of course it is! the producers of GTA Vice city took their inspiration in such movies... Miami vice, also Scarface for the main character Tony montana

  • lol yep! :D

  • I'm a large fan of GTA:Vice City!

  • GTA badass

  • the most powerful scene in the series, when everyone has their guns on him. even more than the first time he shoots tubbs.

  • Agreed!!!! I was crying

  • everybody except Gina this was IMO the last great episode of the show

  • nah, Season five had a couple of good ones after this. And the Finale was amazing.

  • haha yeah. Have to go off with a bang.

  • 2:45 They are realy funny :) Real heroes; to have the gun against the simple guy. fiu fiu!

  • Don......The Best ever !!!!!!!!

  • the feeling that miami vice used to have started fading away in season 4.. season 5 wasn't nice at all.. all styles, colors etc were changing and the whole colorful 80's feeling that the series used to have kinda went away..

  • while understanding your thoughts and opinions, and agreeing somewhat. I think after Sonny went so deep that he got lost was the ulitmate. And there was nowhere to go after that. Damn shame. Best program for years.

  • I always find it kinda sad the series ends in the same season the Crockett/Burnett saga ends. Season 5 feels rushed towards the end and the budget had apparently been cut back aswell which is why season 5 has less songs.

  • Love this scene with the music. this episodes, where Sonny turns are the best. These are the most emotional episodes.

  • oh my gosh I remember watching this I think it was about `1987 or 88. It was such an emotional scene for some reason at the time.

  • Great scene!the episode with the music...perfect scene...!!!!!!!!!

  • dressed like this, Don would have been perfect for "American Psico"!

By the way, has the guy with the Thundercat logo ALWAYS looked like that??? the man doesn't age at all!

  • Check out the Thunder Cats necklace the dude in the beginning has on.

    Thunder Cats! HOOOOOOO!

  • What's happened in this episode? Why Sonny is sad??

  • @eddioarddio

    he's confused

  • Yes thank you..But why?

  • If I remember, it was a 2 episode story, Crockett was udercover with a drug gang lead by El Gato, and due to an explosion he lost his memory of being a cop and though he was a real drug dealer. This is the climax scene when he starts to remembers his past and walk into his old Police station.

Hope I helped refresh your memory.

  • Thanks..But what season is?

  • this was season 5, first episode (part 2 of the story though). season 4 ended with part 1.

  • eh that's John Polito and that guys had more strong bit parts in both television and movies than most if not anyone else out there !!!

  • @will10024 Yes, that is all corect my friend.
