What is the difference between monkey and king-kong?

@VekeZu on the monkey you stop kinda and throw your self over but for the King-kong you run at the object and leap in a sorta diving motion throwing your self over the same way. so there similar but for the King-kong you dive on to the obstacle

@VekeZu Maybe this will answer your question: In a monkey vault -> You get momentum, put hands on the obstacle, hips to shoulder level, jump over.

Kong (not King-Kong) vault -> Get momentum, jump (vertically is basically easiest), push yourself off the obstacle, and shoot your legs towards the ground so you don't land on your face.

Only some of this is parkour. The rest is free running, parkour is useful it has practical movies. Any move that isn't practical and just for showing off (Flips, spins ect...) is not to be called parkour. I studie it i do it that is what i've learned.

Nice video, you guys are good. Although, I just want to point out that a lot of that is freerunning, not parkour.

Parkour: Getting from point A to point B as efficiently as possible.

Freerunning: Doing stylish moves while retaining most of the core aspects of parkour.

I'm afraid your just half way right. Parkour is for getting from point A to B as efficiently as possible, and Freerunning is for the stylish moves. But most of the moves that are showed IS used to get form point A to B. It just come out in a little stylish way. Freerunning were made out from Parkour to do it in a more stylish way than before. One point from that is that Freerunning has the salto move, and that Parkour hasn't. Manny has trouble to know what's what, but i understand them.

@speedlambo actually dude parkour is the French term for the art of movement, free running is the american term for the art of movement i once thought the same way but after getting additional info from professionals i found out other wise and in addition to parkour being the art of movement people can make it as flashy as they want with any extra momentum they can get as long as they keep the movements fluid and efficient.i prefer the less flashy version my self.
