Reading 78 i was at the front getting crushed against the barrier just in front of Bruce. Remember shouting at Paul trying to get his attention, Paul did seem pissed off but that just made the tension / atmosphere even better, Top gig, great days. Nice one.
Well well, I was at this actual festival in fact. 1978.. all those years ago. I do remember that the Jam had some sound problems during their spot and that Paul Weller appeared somewhat unhappy with the performance. Certainly his guitar is a little out of tune. My favourite tune of theirs at the time was "David Watts" and I was jumping up and down with everyone else. Great riff to this tune although the bridge and middle 8 are kind of iffy.
Brilliant, love the Who riff at the beginning, glad he left punk and joined the mod scene thanks for posting great stuff also sounds like the mcvicar riff too Classic love the bass runs (the back bone to most jam tunes)
I just found this from watching the end of the show "Lie to Me"... Season 3 episode 10.... Sounded better than this.... Maybe a redo? Anyone know?
