I am in America, and I do not like the "Americanized" versions of his shows, and prefer the BBC ones because he shows more heart in them. So, to wrap things up: He has more money than us, he can cook, he is passionate about his work, and remember that the people on his shows signed up for it. Their fault if they get yelled at.

People seem to be uninformed about the man, and his past. He got a lot of how he is today from Marco Pierre White, who used to throw things at Gordon, swear at him, make him cry, and much more. Gordon saw that Marco was getting effective results and thus his manner is born. Gordon also had a pretty rough childhood, so that could do it. He has been awarded 12 Michelin stars, so I think that says enough.

I have seen what he did to our favourite restaurant at Mayfair where I used to go with my grandmother at least once a day since I was a little girl. The place is now unrecognizable. The silverware has been replaced with cheap imitations and paper napkins replaced linen.
