  • Great vid. This truck must have a bad grip because the bins are slipping everywhere

  • Nice my favourite truck

  • Why am I watching this?

  • I think Veolia will be the replacement for this council in 2012.

  • These trucks are getting very old.

  • great to see the trucks are out - the logan city ones use the same make of truck but the bodies are far different - they're fitting them with water jets to blow the lids open - seen a few afield but haven't got any videos

  • @erikals2 Mate if you could get some videos of those trucks before the end of this month you would be a bloody legend. The trucks with the white body and yellow cab are the ones I'm talking about, they're getting replaced soon and are one of a kind. Gotta have some decent footage on here for the record...

  • @MitchellM15 pity - if only I knew someone from the logan council they'd probably get me one - darn

why are the trucks getting replaced

  • @erikals2 Ah that's alright, I was under the impression you lived in the council. They are renewing their waste contract with JJ Richards next month and they will be using seperate bins for garbage and recycling.

  • @MitchellM15 ok - will try and get some shots of the garbo trucks for ya!

  • 4:30 YOU BROKE THE LID! lol

  • "age is just a number. If you don't paramind, it doens't parramatter"

Sorry to put a damper on an old mans' Christmas concert but I"m not into "hey, you, watch me spend my WHOLE life with this other guy ofr like, urm, I don't know to spite you". "Urm, I don't care?" . "Oh but you FUCKING WILL!". GRAB THE BABY >>>RUN!

  • This video is so fucking good.

  • Mitch, when Cleanaway took the contract from WSN, where does JJ Richards come in the mix. These are Richards owned bins but not anymore.

  • @Sean12325 They used to have the contract before WSN apparently...

  • @MitchellM15 would you have any clue JJ Richards lost the contract to WSN. I see all three bins were done by teeth :D before WSN. On the lids in Parramatta Council it says on all three bins (for more information contact JJ Richards hotline) when there not contracted to them? So if i was a resident for parramatta and rang that hotline i wonder what they would say. Lol

  • Im quite dissapointed i found this now! i love Sidepaks, there great! I always wondered if they have the same packer blade as the MJS?

  • @Superiorpakfan Yeh brother, they both have the paddle packers inside their hoppers...

  • it's easier to dispose of humans anonymously now :)

  • I haven't seen a cleanaway truck in years since Theiss services took over in our area...and a JJ's even longer again since Cleanaway took over them haha

  • @mikey380sx The only time I see any of them is when I'm out and about taking videos... there is only one contractor in my region who dominates all the residential contracts. Which council are you situated in?

  • @MitchellM15 Im on the sunshine Coast, Queensland mate...so a bit far away from the Sydney area lol

  • @mikey380sx Oh so would you be in Caloundra then right? I would love to go up there and video the trucks all over the state, some really nice ones around... especially some of the JJR trucks =]

  • @MitchellM15 Yeah mate, when theiss took over there seemed to be (not to knowledgeable on this subject) a few new trucks around. Most of the front bumpers were painted pink for a while for breast cancer awareness was quite a sight! lol

  • gaat hard en snel zeg

  • Good one! Strange skinny bins. How do you know all of the information about Cleanaway and WSN?

  • @superiorpak10 I think I picked the information up from a handful of drivers I spoke with in particular, but also saw footage of the trucks on another user's channel.

  • 07:44 HAHA

  • we have cleanaway in the UK

  • what about the other garbage can in first video?

  • Great video! Do the drivers ever get angry with you for videoing them?

  • @superiorpak10 I always ask before I take videos of them, most of the time drivers don't have anything against me taking some clips anyway, only been a few dickheads.

  • wow cleaway is a german kompany

  • this truck is very old, the claw struggles to lift 160L, shocking but it still works. Oh just few weeks ago i saw this truck collecting bons when i was in Parramatta Park the i saw the bin fall in lol

  • very nice

  • Those skinny bins are strange to me, why were those ever thought of as a good design? Makes for an even more interesting vid though!

    Excellent as always sir!

  • Thanks very much. My guess would be that it's just an early design for that bin size...

  • my thought is tht it was the best way to make a small can and prevent the bending over to roll deal

that way u can still stand up straight when moving it but i really dont know

some american wheelie bin manufacturers still make them that way

  • Nice truck and great video!

  • wow great vid that trucks nice and quick very efficant, always enjoy your vids Mitch thanks for sending, leo

  • very loose grip on those small bins. those bins are so small, they can be used as toys LOL. nice work. 5 stars and favorite

  • Holy crap!!! I'd hate to tip those skinny bins, I'd be thinkin I'm gonna loose it in the hopper all the time. Damn paddle make a mess of em quick too when they do fall in.

  • AWESOME footage, love those tall narrow bins!! You've gotta get more footage of these being dumped, it makes it twice as interesting LOL!!! I also like how the grabbers sometimes close the lid of the bin as it's being lowered. I noticed the newer ones have a higher floor to the bin, kinda odd. Was the other truck at the end recycling or greens? Thanks again for the vid!!

  • I've got another couple of videos with these tall ones to upload soon, I'll try and find some more of them... just that they're very rare now. The truck at the end was greens (not actually from this council), I've got a vid of it and the recycle truck.

  • cool vid cant wait for more parramata footage and yer i have checked out the greens and recyling they all were grait once again thses vids rock and it can be bad that those bins sway around incase all the rubbish doesent come out but then sometimes its better cause it sways the rubbish out

  • how much is it ??

    ur camera

  • It's a bit over $800, but I got it for $400 in the end...

  • Dam cleanaway, they care about their trucks in NSW, but don't give a fuck bout their trucks in victoria WTF?! lol good vid mitch

  • Well done man all 3 vids are great 5 stars wat camera u use coz its bloody great

  • Thanks, I use a JVC GZMG345

  • great video mate!!!

  • This grapple is not the best for 140ltrs sulo. i think so.

  • Do you say that because they fly around violently when he shakes them? - can be grabbed tightly, but a loose grip's better for letting everything discharge.

  • Niceeeeee

  • very nice vid!

those skinny bins add to the entertainment of the whole thing!

wonder why they switched to red lids?

  • Yer don't see them very often... a nice change. There's this new idea about Australian Standards where the bin lids have to be certain colours, depending on the waste type (garbage = red lid, recycling = yellow lid and greens = green lid). You'll find a lot of the new bins/lids will become one of the above colours - in 10 years I reckon it'll be the same everywhere! Not totally sure about other states, but it appears to be the case here in NSW.

  • hmmm. interesting

in the US most places have a set recycling bin color which is blue

so if u see a blue can is most likely a recycle bin

exept waste management has blue for trash in a few places but other than the ts mostly recycle

the other ones (yard waste and trash) all vary depending on the company tho

  • Yes I noticed how different it is up there compared to here, like the bin sizes (I can think of only one council that uses 96g in Australia) and you won't find many councils with weekly collections. Down here the services / bins are fairly similar, go back 10-15 years ago and it would've been much different.

  • yea what ive come to conclude is if we were given the 64/240l bins wed only have that much trash but since were given such big carts people say "oh we have extra space lets throws shit out" lol

and yea one city i know of has bi weekly

recycling one week trash/yard waste next

its a wierd system with only 2 bins the trash is to be bagged and yard waste is just in there. all in one cart. its clever but alot more sorting to do

  • That's a popular system we have down here, a lot of councils still use it. Except the trash/greens is serviced weekly and the trash doesn't have to be bagged. It's all taken to a facility where everything's recovered by basically 100% machinery :D Neat what things they come up with ey?

  • Awesome Vid man! I'm guessing that this is a refurbished International Acco? I'm guessing this because the front bumper is slightly different and it has the "amplifier" (lol) on top. Also, there aren't any Iveco Badges. Anyways, that arm is seriously slow! It's like the Hume International truck!

  • Yes you would be right. The arm speed doesn't seem that bad for an old truck, not really slow slow, just a steady speed.
