Biggest problem I have with this guy is he isn't quite balanced to Squire or Countess. Squire Rage and Countess CTA do more and are better than his stances even when combined (except for syphon). For me tho, the bigger issue is he has almost no defense for spiders at his move speed, Spiders disable all stances and he has no block like the other melee users so he just becomes a sitting duck (and my Barb is very well geared). I think he should be able to keep at least once stance on when ensared.

id say put on 3 new towers on each caracter or make a few new ones and put all new kinds of towers on them easy things to make up like a gun turret or some bombard turret use your emaginations :) the already have mini guns and flame trowers so might as well put in some other stuff like it ! AND PUT IT ON PS3 as well pc seems to only get all dlc ps3 got nothing yet why u even started on ps3 if u cant keep up whith the pc i dont get it ! i know a patch cost them money but still !

I actually like the Barb, his set of skills is very useful when it comes to defending an area in an emergency. Plus you can couple him with something like a genie and basically throw mana at your teammates, or you can put on a guardian pet and have it boost towers as you deal with an ogre. The only limitation the barb has is the fact that he can't handle spread out spawns, and needs a little help then.

Can you somehow change the attack animation of the different fighting stances? It will be better than having normal style of attack. Like when you have Tornado Stance on, the barbarian would attack in a spinning motion, not literally spinning but attack in circular motion that would make him spin then a finishing blow. Lightning Stance would be like each attack would have a look of huge blows with huge swing attack. This goes the same with others, different styles of attack patterns.

This character could have used pets, or at least something where he could set up a "pack" of team mates to help him cover an area. As it stands, I don't see a barb being useful or anything other than covering areas already set with towers. I believe something more akin to a Beastmaster would be a bit better, yeah?

... Then again, I haven't played since the first Squire nerf patch. I don't know dopalong dookie about the metagame now.

and Eagle costs 120 mana to use and only increases damage of your NEXT attack. Watch the video two, his special abilities the jump and smash. The jump is your ONLY source of damage at low levels, and the smash misses in the video, so i for one am not looking forward to using it when i unlock it at level 30. The ONE good thing i have to say about the barbarians, is that the jump uses no mana....and that is a poor poor good thing to say about a totally "new" hero class.

The next upgrade stances come at 20 -30- 40- and freaking 74. WHY would they make a character that needs to be at MAX LEVEL to use the most of its abilities? and ALL of his abilities have a downside. Tornado makes you a limp noodle that can run fast. Lightning only stuns enemies, not aoe damage, Syphon cuts all resistances and makes you absorb a small amount of life. (good luck getting a lot of life out of 40 mana per second drain) Turtle cuts your speed and increases resistance.

The barbarian is a straight up terrible character to level. I tried it with NO hacked items and heres my experience. Levels 1-10 You don't get any stances and you do an abismally low 10 dps. try taking down a troll (big guy) while doing 10 damage. It sucks. Then i got to level 10 and you get tornado stance. which makes you do 5! 5! freaking damage and makes your character charge through stuff and most likely send you flying off a cliff. You dont become an unstoppable tornado.

@aFriendlyAlly Thats just it though, a casual player who doesnt have high level friends or wants to do it straight up or normal is gonna have a tough time leveling it up. A tough time that shouldnt be if the character was designed properly. His abilities should not have the downsides they do. Its like if your squire was suddenly nerfed to hell saying "if your blade barracade is hit with 2 arrows it is instantly destroyed". The nerf to the class on launch day is just so weird to me.

@Deminicus2 You can switch characters and place towers in the build phase, then swap to fighting characters - I commonly place mage towers then switch to a combat specced huntress.

@Everyone Most companies who have DLC do it the wrong way like Call of Duty with tons of different terrible map packs.

Trendy on the other hand is doing it right. Of course you already bought the game, but instead of having to release Dungeon Defenders 2 a year or two from Dungeon Defenders 1, now they can give you new characters, new dungeons, new game modes, and more.

This is a great way to extend the life of this game. I have over 200 hours on DD and have all the DLC. This game rocks.

There's a lot of stupid rules and policies that severely limit developers who WANT to provide their fans with content...Valve spent quite some time trying ot get microsoft to change their policies...it didn't work.

This is why so many companies' PC versions are so much better, such as monday night combat. And why MNC's follow up game Super MNC is currently not being made for Xbox.

@Ayevee39 I stopped playing a while ago, for different reasons (huge grind fest, gap between insane and nightmare far too large). I have no problems with DLC, it's a way for Devs to maintain their game and it's completely optional to buy. My only regret is pre-ordering all 4 of the Eternia Shard DLCs without knowing the destructive path this game was on.
