I wasn't fond with gymnast competing with compulsories. Many times I felt the compulsory scores held back great gymnast in event finals and so you saw many of the same old gymnasts always competing. I been a voyeur of gymnastics for years and it is now that I am witnessing our gymnast in past eras competing that had excellent routines. This clip is an example of the that!

Great routine, and from the skills she did, it looks more like a routine of today than one in the 1980s.

Loved her mount and dismount. Very cool.

It was nice to see that front aerial almost to two feet, a move commonly done today.

I never thought I'd say this, since it seemed so over the top at the time, but I miss all those hand motions and choreography.
