gilmore girls did not get cancelled its still on. on abc family where they show secret life of a teenager they still show the show at 5pm on weekday's and he is HOOOOOOTTTT!!

yes its still on tv, but all the episodes are reruns and not knew ones. It was cancelled in 2007.

From what I've read, they wanted to make a season 8 but Alexis Bledel (and maybe others, I'm not sure) didn't want to, so it didn't happen because obviously it would've been pointless to do it without her.
