It is important to me who is protesting and why. I have not seen any coherent position. Regarding Freedom of speech and assembly, the courts have ruled that it is okay to set up free speech zones etc for public safety, and that this is within the constitution. Regarding the arrests I did not see any brutality, regarding the protest. Who are you? I only saw people with their faces covered. Are you anarchists, or Socialists, progressives, or ultra right libertarian fascists? No flowers for the cops?

The cops doing their best to seem scary and practice urban warfare drills as if something like that would ever useful in a real situation. The protesters wearing black, what was that kid doing on a skateboard? I think the cops need different training for these situations. I hate to say it but maybe if there's enough lawsuits they'll get funding for more useful training.
